This kissaten is placed in the fancy upscale mall in Sendai AER. And it reflects that. This is the kind of place that will pull out your chair for you. They will bow three times while delivering your silverware. It exudes a level of service and hospitality I’ve not seen anywhere else. It’s the kind of place you feel out of place wearing a Tshirt and jeans. The clientele are mostly salarymen or their bosses. The kind of place you’d imagine a man and her mistress would meet at in secret.

The prices certainly reflect the atmosphere. High for Japan or about normal prices for a sit down restaurant in the USA.

A great place to do work or read or write. Low light quiet music. A very very nice coffee shop. And worth experiencing once. And sad these kind of places...

I visited Hoshiyama restaurant at Parco 2, and it's amazing, first they offer four types of Single Origin Coffee, it was quite experience, maybe it cost twice as regular Starbucks Americano, but I believe it worth it. Then the beef burger here was one of best in Japan, very juicy beef patty with high quality cheese. Maybe it's not everyday dine in restaurant but...

Such a chic place with very elegant service and interior design. We had a club sandwich, coffees, and a Mont Blanc dessert. The coffee were good but a bit too dark roast for my taste. The dessert was pretty good, very balanced with the matcha filling inside. The sandwich was basic but tasty.
