Legendary café in the Aramachi area which specializes in Japanese pasta dishes. The vibe here is kind of like an oldschool American diner, and you'll often find people sipping on their coffee as they read the newspaper or a comic book while bluegrass music plays in the background.

20数年前に近くで勤めていたころによく訪れていて、たまに無性に食べたくなるスパゲティ。 2階の入り口にあがる狭く急な階段・店内の雰囲気とも、以前とまったく変わらずいい感じ。 水曜日の日替わりスパゲティが「ツナ大根」なのも以前と変わっておらず、地味に嬉しい。

従業員はやたら増えたけど、入店した際の反応が遅い（ない）のは相変わらず。 12時頃に入店も待つ客はおらず、空席ふたつほど。 いつも頼んでいたミートソースと日替わりの「ツナ大根」を注文。

ここからが非常に長い。 代替わりしてから3度目の訪問だが、明らかに提供時間がかかるようになったと思う。以前はランチタイムの満席状態でもここまで待つことはなかった気がします。 この日はまさかの45分待ち。いくらなんでも時間かかりすぎだと思うな。。

また大抵のひとがスパゲティを食べるというのに、テーブルにナプキンがないのも以前と変わらず。 こういう誰の目にも「いまいち」なところまで変えない必要はないのだけど。

ようやく到着したスパゲティ。 ミートソース・ツナ大根ともに、以前と変わらない雰囲気で感慨深いです。

気のせいかもしれないけど、味は少し変わっているかな。 ミートソースはもう少し甘めの味付けだったような。 麺はバターか油かでほぐれやすい感じだと思ったけど、この日はけっこう固まり加減。 ツナ大根はなにか柑橘系？の酸味がうっすら。前からかなあ。

まあ以前は大盛り余裕だったのに、今となっては普通盛りでも多すぎに感じるくらい時間がたったので、いろいろイメージに補正がかかっ...
