As I was staying at the Kitakobushi Shiretoko Hotel and Resort, I learned that I was entitled to one complimentary scoop of ice cream from this dessert shop that's located within or next to the premises of my hotel. And since I was staying at the hotel for two nights, I decided to have both scoops at the same time. I also bought a chocolate here to try it out. Visited in the off season in May and staff were all Japanese. Despite myself only being able to speak English, communication was no problem. They were extremely patient and made my partner and I feel right at home. Very impressed.

We had the ice cream and hot chocolate and both were just special. It was an experience to savour with each spoonful or sip. Highly recommended to at least try once.

Had the very comforting hot chocolate every single day I was here in Shiretoko, while waiting for the drift ice.

The space was spacious and comfortable. The shop is attached to a hotel and its stylish toilet is available for use.

If you arrive near closing time, you would have to do a takeout for your order.

Rare to find such quality for the price.
