Kita no Sho — Restaurant in Shirakawa

I walked in to ask them a question and as i tried to type my question in Google translate the woman literally said, “get out!” I was shocked because Japanese people are usually extremely polite. Then an old man came over shouting “get out!” with his arms crossed in the air.

I asked why they were so rude and a young man (see photo) came charging over to me and he physically pushed me towards the door! I cannot even describe how shocked i was that he touched me.

All three of them chased me outside then the old man tried to take photos of me and my car license plate. So then i tried to record him and the young guy pushed me hard again and the old man threatened to call the police on me as he shouted, “ no foreigners, only Japanese!!” Imagine treating foreign guests like this! If you patronize this business you are normalizing their xenophobia...

Place has a small souvenir shop upfront but the restaurant is very big inside! Do cum before big group tours come in, in case u are catching the shuttle bus back to Kanazawa city. Tried the fish with 5 local vegetables. The veg were really crunchy & delicious pickled vegs, fish was grilled just nice, just dun eat the tail as the salt has fully coated. Fish has lots of bones but if u know how, the entire bones can be removed as 1 single piece...

The Hida Beef is just out of the world!! Combined with miso and there was fish that I ate everything. Not really a friendly of you are on wheel chair. But other than that, food...
