Kinzaburo is my favorite tea shop in Shizuoka. They sell a heavenly selection of chaffles: ocha (aka green tea) waffles, and you can take them or other treats such as ice cream upstairs to eat. The second floor has a beautiful tatami area and also standard tables to sit at, and you are provided with assorted green teas to serve yourself and drink for free. The staff are always very friendly and polite, and everything I've tasted has been delicious. The owner won the green tea champion award on a Japanese tv programme called TV Champions, and I can see why. We've spoken with him several times too, and he's always been very kind and helpful.
