This place and its owner are awesome! We went there randomly and were looking for tonkotsu ramen. We stepped in and tried to translate names of food which were just in Japanese. We couldn't unfortunately understand it anyway so we left and were thinking where to go. The owner went out to us, he wasn't so confident in English but he asked if we need some help. We said we wanted to eat tonkotsu ramen and that we don't understand what he is cooking. He explained that he had no tonkotsu but something similar and showed us how to order it through the machine. It was delicious!! In the end we came back some days later to eat the same ramen we'd got. We were just sorry that we were already leaving Shizuoka because other food also looked so good there. Cozy ramen shop recommended to those looking for simple (but a bit salty) flavor and chewy noodles. The owner, Mr. Yamamoto, is kind, humble, and would chit-chat with the customers. Based on the English songs played, colorful water glasses, scenery on the TV wall, and the owner's casual outfit, Mr. Tamamoto has his own business philosophy and style that are unique from traditional ramen shops. If me and my family spoke Japanese, the chatting experience would sure be more interesting. The shop is located in a narrow alley so it's easy to miss out. 2024.10.10 近所のスパーゴさんでお昼を食べようと訪問したところ、『当分の間休業』の貼り紙が！ 残念でしたが切り替えて、以前から気になっていたこちらの麺屋やまもとさんを初訪問してきました。
まぜそばは馴染みがありませんが、担々麺が好きなので 限定B 担々風冷やし和えそば(麺大盛)950円 を選択。
店内はカウンター4席のみで、満席の際は店内には入らず、外の通路で待機するルールのようでした。 この日は運良く、1席だけ空席があり即入店出来ました。 券売機で食券を購入し、店主に渡して着席。 まぜそばは麺の大盛サービスがあると伺い、お言葉に甘えて大盛をお願いしました。
10分強ほどで着丼。 仕事中のためスーツ姿(上着無し)で伺いましたが、提供前に店主さんが紙エプロンを渡して下さいました。 スープの跳ねを気にせず食べれるのはとても嬉しく、ありがたかったです。
和えそばは、具材のカシューナッツやひき肉をスープと一緒に絡めていただきましたが、とても美味しかったです。 麺は細麺で、かための茹で加減が絶妙でした。 辛味はそれほど強くなく、思いきり啜って大丈夫。 大盛にしたので和えそば単体で満腹になりました。 次回はレギュラーメニューもいただいてみたい。
店主さんは寡黙で、一見すると怖そうでしたが、前述した通り黙って紙エプロンを差し出して下さるなど親切心が感じられました。 私の後から満席の店内に入って待ち始めた常連さんに対し、店外で待つようお願いされていたり、初見にも常連にも分け隔てなく対応されている姿勢に好感が持てましたよ。
