Himawari — Restaurant in Takachiho

What an awesome find this place was!

The hostess was so friendly! She even let us flip our okonomiyaki. The place is studded with pictures of customers and with cute things. Definitely something you'll only find in Japan.

The okonomiyaki was delicious. Definitely a different spin though. The ingredients were already pre-mixed in the batter before putting it on the grill. But okonomiyaki varies so much all over Japan anyway, it's not a big deal.

We were not even close to being cheaped out at all with any of the ingredients we chose to put in our okonomiyaki. We were both full and we only ordered one. I think She made ours slightly bigger than normal though since we were sharing.

Good place to stop for quick lunch or dinner when sightseeing. The Takachiho Shrine is not even a ten minute walk away.
