On our first night out in Takamatsu we stumbled upon this place, tucked away in a small unassuming space.
Although there was no menu available in English there was no problem ordering with the help of Google and the little bit of japanese reading knowledge we had, in addition to that the owner Ben supported us in our mission to order food from him in every possible way he could.
Everything on the menu sounded pretty good but we settled for a double serving of Gyoza alongside a home made Cola Float and Ice Coffee, both were delicious but couldn't compete with one of the two stars of this evening, Ben's handmade Gyoza were super delicious and every bite we took was like a symphony of flavors in our mouths, after looking through the menu one more time we decided to get his homemade fried onigiri, this onigiri let me tell you was the pinnacle of fried food, it was so delicious that we had to have two of them in total.
Later on we even got a complimentary iced jasmin tea which also was a treat in itself.
Overall I cannot recommend this small but very warm and lovely izakaya more than enough.
If you ever visit Takamatsu and don't know what to eat, definitely check out Ben's!
