Nanakoshi Chaya — Restaurant in Toba

We visited Nanakoshi Chiaya recently and found the experience to be a mix of highs and lows. While the udon itself was nicely tender and well-cooked, the flavor of most dishes we ordered leaned heavily on the salty side, which made it difficult to fully enjoy them.

One particular disappointment was the clam udon. The menu indicated that the dish would include 2-3 clams, but what we received was just one clam sliced in half to create the illusion of more. This felt misleading and left us underwhelmed.

連休中のお昼に訪問。 待ち客はいませんでしたが、6割くらいお客さんが入ってました。

うどん定食を目当てに行きましたが、メニュー表の（丼）の下に、妙な塗り潰しがあり、うどん定食は提供していないようでした。 そのため手こねずし膳（梅）を注文。 （松）との違いはサザエの有無です。

うどんはモチモチ、甘めの醤油の味付けは美味しかったです。 手こね寿司も味付けがしっかりされており美味しかったです。

私の注文の後に常連さんが隣に来て、メニューをペラペラ眺め「いつもの」と注文され、提供されていたのはうどん定食でした。 恐らく連休中で集客が見込める時はうどん定食の表記がないメニューを、平日はうどん定食の表記があるメニューと使い分けているのかなと邪推してしまいました。 （他の方が投稿されているメニュー表では、塗り潰しの箇所にうどん定食が載っています。）
