[Wheelchair Accessible] If you like prawns or shell fish, this is a place you cannot miss when flying in/out of Japan to/from this airport. There are, however, menus you should order and you should not. Don't forget to order three of the following; 1) fried prawns, or "Ebi-furai" for about $6 a piece, 2) boiled squilla, or "Shako-no-shio-yude" about $8 for a portion of 10 pieces, and 3) sashimi turban shell fish, or "Sazae-no-sugata-zukuri" for about $8 a portion for the whole shell. The fried prawns and turban shell fish are so fresh that your teeth won't easily cut through. The fried bread crumbs around fried prawns are extremely crispy. Squilla looks ugly, but you won't regret when you soak them with vinegar (prepared on the table) and throw them into your mouth. (Don't forget to peel the shells, though.) The boiled squilla is so popular among the locals that this restaurant often runs out of supply. The complete meal sets are also good choice, if one or more of the above items are part of them. It's nice to see young people working hard, cheerfully and courteously serving customers, without the overbearing atmosphere that is often associated with famous restaurants. Everyone encourages each other to make the restaurant more exciting! The staff are very friendly and helpful, and the atmosphere is friendly and welcoming. Today's sashimi. The large fried shrimp are terrific. I don't know if it changes with the time of year, but there is a slight difference in size. I also like the freshness of the sea-unpaste vinegar at this restaurant. Today's rice was a bit hard, perhaps because it had been a little too long. (Tears) The miso soup also contains kaiun, which is very healthy and nice. Maruha Shokudo" has been loved by everyone for 74 years. I also love this restaurant and have been a repeat customer for more than 15 years. The main restaurant of "Maruha Shokudo" has many dishes on the menu, and I highly recommend you to visit there.
