I stumbled upon this gem of a Vietnamese restaurant while taking a walk through the Yoyogi neighborhood. The inside is very clean, and I was impressed by the hip-hop music playing in the background. The chef also has a cool hip-hop vibe, which creates a unique and enjoyable atmosphere.
The menu is simple, which I think speaks to their expertise. The chicken pho was excellent; the broth was incredibly clean and clear, and the combination of tender chicken with fresh mint and cilantro was perfect. The Tom Yum pho was also fantastic—not too spicy, wonderfully clean-tasting, and packed with fresh vegetables.

It was Southern Vietnamese style (comes with herbs on the side, broth has stronger spice flavors and it’s a bit sweeter- star anise, cinnamon), which I prefer over Northern Vietnamese pho. Northern pho tends to be more meaty and savory in flavor with little to no spice flavors. During lunch, they give a complimentary dessert with tea.
