君のハンバーグを食べたい 葛西店 — Restaurant in Tokyo

Google has this as a “western style restaurant” which it definitely isn’t despite the irritatingly frequent bursts of “YES” in English from the staff when acknowledging something. It seemed very good upon entering this place, and it has a good reputation locally, but I was definitely underwhelmed. The name would suggest that their focus is on hamburger steaks, and it is really juicy, but lacks flavour and is entirely reliant on the sauce you choose to douse it in. In reality they seem entirely focused on rice which is by far the least interesting part of the meal. A bit unfocused and style over substance. The staff are great, but for the money, I’d rather go somewhere...

To begin with, exceptional service (especially where they walked us through the menu and showed us how to use the special scissors to cut the quail egg!).

I was never a fan of Hamburg steaks to begin with; this restaurant has changed my opinion of that now. Am now looking forward to my next Hamburg steak here before this trip ends!

Make sure to get the fried egg as an add-on; definitely complements the entire meal.

The sauces were amazing (whether it was their brown sauce or their mental sauce).

The kids meals was well-portioned.

Second day in Japan and we decided to try this place for dinner since it was near our hotel. We had such a great experience! The waitstaff were incredibly friendly and helpful. I accidentally ordered one of the dishes as bento box which means takeaway here in Japan, but the floor manager (who I think was in charge that night) quickly helped us sort it out. The food was delicious, and the meat was tender.
