This wonderful place was recommended a YouTuber (@whatthepato and @tokyocheapo). Where should I start.
Service: When we arrived at 7pm, the izakaya was packed and would have had to wait 2hrs without a reservation. Yuzuki-san was super helpful and nice, gave us the table outside. It was 29°C, not exactly comfortable, but it was worth it. Yuzuki constantly came to check in on us as well as helped us with the Japanese menu and made some delicious recommendations. The best service on this trip, and Japanese people are known to be hospitable to begin with.
Food: The Otoshi (table charge appy) was so delicious. Simple tofu, ground pork and Japanese sesame dressing. Would have ordered it on its own. We ordered a kampachi collar, skipjack capacious, beef stew and their famous Corn tempura. Everything wad perfectly seasoned and cooked. The corn was 1000% worth the hype.
We are already planning to comeback before our trip ends Once again thank you to Yuzuki for an...

This little gem is nestled close to the end of the street when approaching from Nakano station. The food was delicious and the staff went out of their way to ensure that they explained the raw dishes because my wife is pregnant. They had a decent selection of sake as well, which i guess is why most come here. Their menu is also seasonal so i was impressed with how creative some of the dishes were. The toro and raw egg dish was my favorite followed by one of the best potato salads I've had in Japan (I order that everywhere). They even had golden eye snapper, which is not that common in many places. Price was reasonable for the amount of food we ordered. The waiter kept asking if we would like half portions (haha, so considerate!). I would highly recommend...
Read moreAmazing place, will definitely come back when I come to Tokyo next time. Great selection of sake and they help you to choose one you like. The food is amazing! I had a vegetarian selection of tempura: corn, mushroom and eggplant - all so delicious I had to order more portions. The menu is in Japanese but with the help of the kind staff and a translator app you can order. The atmosphere is relaxed and the everyone working here is super nice. We ate here once and came back a second time on our last night because we liked it so much. I can only...
