This is my second time stayed in Otsuka, and as Otsuka is not really a popular tourist place; the reason I chose this area is because or Aruku coffee and Gallery and Bongo the origiri shop.
The Aruku coffee apparently sell coffee but they also sell shoes and insoles for specific needs.
You can have your foot diagnosed to see how their insoles can improve your standing and walking gesture; ultimately to lower the damages and fatigue of your foot.
Their coffee is hands down underestimated, as they use the Glitch roaster beans in Ginza but interestingly they make better cups of coffee.
At Glitch coffee you would have to line up and wait for hours but here you can comfortably enjoy your coffee without much wait.
Aruku means walk in Japanese and apparently they are trying to combine coffee and walking, and although itâs not a usual concept but my friends and I love it.
Ever since last year I came to this shop I wanted to introduce to other people and I want this to be a popular shop because I think they deserve more attention.
Hope this would help tourists and locals to start noticing this wonderful shop...

Read moreThis was a nice little cafe to stop by for a treat and drink. I don't drink coffee, but the cafe had some interesting baked goods that I found unique. I got the banana walnut bread and it was lovely. It wasn't dry, it was soft and flavorful, and smelled great. As a foreigner, the staff were incredibly helpful with my level of Japanese and engaged in conversation with me despite my grammar mess ups. I told them my original intent was to go to Onigiri Bongo next door, and with the long line, the staff suggested to get takeout and even took the time to read the menu with me.
All in all, the staff is incredibly nice and the baked goods are a plus! The focus of the cafe is also interesting to learn about as well. I recommend stopping here for...
