Editing review: the owner wrote back a slanderous response making a tonne of assumptions about who I am. Since it has been over a year since I went there he doesn't remember who I am. We never yelled, we politely ordered our drinks, paid and left. We were talking to each other to discuss what to order and I ordered in Japanese. It's better than forcing the rude staff to communicate in English. We know that in Japan it's futile to tell stubborn people like this that they ought to change the signs. The best thing we could do is quietly leave after paying, then told each other let's never go there again because the staff was incredibly rude.
Really mediocre espresso drinks with a snotty attitude from the owner. He was so rude just because his signs were written poorly and we tried to pay with our credit card. Business owner, if you are reading this please write your signs in English correctly. 電子マネー in English includes credit card. It's not the same as in Japanese. So don't be offended or treat us like idiots if people read that and try to pay with card. Like yeah I read Japanese but I was conversing with my English speaking companion while I was ordering, so my mindset was in English and the English sign came into my view first. After the "you idiot" look and rude gesture from the owner (he kept condescendingly gesturing at the incorrect English sign like we were the idiots) but hey, I guess you don't care because most of your clientele are Japanese. Then take down the bad English sign!
I wouldn't have had a problem with the poorly written English sign if you were polite about communicating payment methods and I wouldn't be writing this bad review a year after I had your aggressively average coffee. There are other shops that made the same English mistake but were polite about it, you're not special, you're...

The owner works very hard; I often see him late at night preparing, cleaning, etc. He even came out to talk to me when I strolled one very late night and hoped I'd come by the next day when they were open. I regularly enjoy lattes and regular coffees at ブルースカイコーヒー, especially in Autumn and Winter.
Signs in front of the shop politely ask that people do not take photos or shoot video without permission. In this day and age, with the constant recording of everything in order to post online, he has every right to expect this courtesy. Of course, there's always people who ignore such requests and film away only to be shocked that he gets annoyed at their blatant disregard of his rights and the rights of others.
He cares about the privacy of his customers - that's you and me - who may not want to appear on some total stranger's social media feed for time immemorial. So, please respect his wishes and do not take photos or video without getting his prior approval. Cheers...
Read moreA charming take out cafe with affordable prices and nice taste. The Cream Late was a really good blend of sweet and coffee taste without being overpoweringly sugary. Long line when I visited on a warm Sunday but it moved quick. Expect to search for a bench in the park if coming on a weekend. Loved the packaging of the drinks!
Some reviews mentioned the no-picture policy. Signs are stated in the front. Seems like it's more to keep the line moving and avoid being a nuisance. There is a spot to take pictures right after pick-up if you want...
