Bread and café Edaone — Restaurant in Tokyo

Appears to be a misfire by Google Maps. It asked me for an update though I did not go there today or recently, but must have passed close by. Therefore I have nothing to add to the original review which appears below.

This place caught my eye a while back, but this was my first chance to try it out. Inside has ten movable tables for two and there are some more tables out front in a terrace area. Per the name, it's a cross between a bakery and a cafe. No Wi-Fi or changing, and I couldn't even hear any background music.

The lunch set had a variety of items. The quiche was a nice surprise. Long time since I've had any. Good ministrone and salads. The chicken wasn't too lucky, but that's how chicken is lately. Three pieces of bread and I'd rate the raison roll as the top one. Overall I can call it a high four stars.

One odd incident to report, however. A foreigner came in and started acting as I would, but an employee apparently told him there was something different here and he left without getting anything. Maybe part of it isn't self-service? I had no trouble getting the lunch set, but now I'm wondering how I knew they had one...

One more note: Seems like my Rakuten Mobile connection stopped working...

A popular place and for a good reason. We ordered the bahn mi and Cuban sandwich and they were both delicious. I preferred the bahn mi because the ingredients are simple but the combination of the crunchy-on-the-outside-moist-on-the-inside bread with the sweet and sour sauce with the minced pork is so well balanced. Coffee is decent too. I suggest coming early for brunch because it gets busy very quickly. You can choose to buy the bread in the store and have them heat it up as well. You don’t have to only choose from...

白木とグリーンを基調とした温もりある空間。 木製テーブルと観葉植物が心地よく、自然光の入るカフェスペースでゆったり過ごせる。 静かな音楽が流れ、一人でも落ち着ける雰囲気である。 テイクアウト客も多いが、店内利用は穏やかな時間が流れる。

●料理・ドリンクの魅力

総評：パンの香ばしさと具材の一体感が心地よい。

・サーモンアボカドサンド 全粒粉パンの軽い酸味と香ばしさが印象的で、スモークサーモンの塩気とアボカドのまろやかさが絶妙に溶け合う。 レモンの酸味が全体を引き締め、重たすぎず最後まで飽きない仕立て。 添えられたサラダも新鮮で、ヘルシーながら満足感がある。

昼前後はテイクアウト客で混み合うため、カフェ利用なら午前10時台か15時以降が狙い目。 パンは日替わりで内容が変わるため、売り切れ前の早めの来店が良い。 一人でも入りやすく、軽食にもブランチにも使いやすい。
