Flyers Table is adjacent to the Haneda Excel Hotel at Terminal 2 in Haneda Airport, Japan. We arrived at 10.30 for breakfast but alas, it was now actually ‘lunch’ and the menu looked inviting with some interesting choices. We were able to leave our suitcases securely at the entrance and were escorted to a lovely table. We chose our Beef with white rice, salad and soup (1906 YEN including service charge & consumption tax) and Vegetable curry with butter rice, salad and soup (1839 YEN including service charge & consumption tax). The menu also includes free access to the ‘Drink Bar’ which has multiple choices of coffee / hot chocolate / tea machines to make you a beverage. The meal arrived with the soup first, which was small but exceptionally tasty. Then the salad, fresh ingredients and some mayonnaise in a small bowl to add if you desired. The curries were generous in portion size, with a delightful blend of flavours and textures. The beef was tender and the sauce rich. My vegetable curry was not only pleasing to the eye but I found the tastes something that I hadn’t tried before. If this is what I’m in for when travelling through Japan, I’m going to enjoy this trip. Service was excellent with staff being extremely attentive and quick to remove plates as we finished them. Wheelchair accessible. Disabled friendly. Kid friendly. Toilets nearby which are modern and exceptionally clean. They do accept credit cards which was a bonus as many places don’t in Japan. Highly recommend Flyers Table for anyone passing through Terminal 2 and have themselves a meal that is above the usual airport fast food.

Their Kaiseki menu is simply exquisite 😊 and of course super delicious! 😋 I would highly recommend it to everyone! Price for both food and alcohol are also very reasonable!

1일 2회차 애프터눈티로 찾은 곳은 귀국전 마지막 일정으로 하네다공항 2터미널에 위치한 하네다 엑셀 호텔 도큐입니다. 이곳은 8년전 숙박을 했던 곳이기도 합니다. 그때 오전 6시대 하네다-인천행 비행기를 타기 위하여 전날밤 11시에 체크인/5시에 체크아웃후 셔틀을 타고 국제선으로 이동했습니다. 시간이 일러 일본에서 조식을 하지 못한 5곳의 호텔중 하나입니다. 이날은 하네다에서 15시대 김포로 가는 비행기를 타기 위해 13시 애프터눈티를 참가합니다. 가격이 말도 안되는 1인 3,970엔이라 예약전부터 놀랍니다. 그런데 자리에 안내를 받고 세이보리류 플레이트가 들어오며 진짜 놀라게 됩니다. 샌드위치포함 6종으로 꽉찬 구성의 완벽한 세이보리로 선보여 집니다. 거기다 모두 맛있기 까지 합니다. 1차 애프터눈티가 디저트 위주였던터라 1시간만에 찾은 2차였지만 술술 잘들어 갑니다. 맛있게 세이보리류 플레이트를 말끔히 해치웁니다. 조식이 이루어지는 장소에서 애프터눈티가 열리나 봅니다. 티를 제외한 음료는 셀프로 마음껏 가져다 마실 수 있습니다. 커피류나 쥬스류, 탄산등도 가득합니다. 잠시후 스위츠류 타임이 열립니다. 3단트레이가 등장하고 활주로의 737비행기가 이륙을 하기 직전입니다. 이곳의 시그니처인 비행기빵이 포함입니다. 호텔의 베이커리에서 파는 메뉴로 보잉사와 기술제휴(?)로 아이덴티티가 들어가 大자가 787이고 中자가 737로 선보입니다. 애프터눈티에는 737이 등장합니다. 3단 트레이에는 5종의 스위츠류와 2종의 스콘에 쿠키까지 붙습니다. 클로티드크림도 나옵니다. 이 엄청난 구성에 티는 TWG를 주고 노미호다이까지 3천엔대라니 보고도 믿지 못합니다. 맘껏 즐기고 결제를 마친후 2터에서 3터까지 무료셔틀로 10분만에 이동합니다. 비행기 출발 1시간10분전에 도착하여 티켓팅을 마치고 귀국길에 오릅니다. 감사합니다.

I honestly wasn’t expecting the food to be that good; after all, it is just airport hotel food. But the pastas were actually really solid, and the desserts absolute fire. The creativity in puddings, flavors, and textures was the last thing I expected. We started with two desserts and ended up getting all four from the deliciousness. A...
