This was one of the best coffee that I’ve ever had in Japan. I know I know people like to go blue bottle nearby ( you can’t get wrong in that) but this coffee store just provided very unique roasted beans ( and high quality ones as well)
I’ve been to lots of different Japanese style coffee shops and found out they kinda have a “darker” roast in general. For someone like me, used to American or European style, not really get used to it. But you can definitely find that western style roast here at Geshary coffee.
Every coffee they provided, they will have a detailed card in the tray to explain where are they come from and the taste. Also, they will give you a “cold brew” sample and a small sample coffee jelly-like dessert.
I ordered the “ EL provenir washed COE #2” with latte ( sadly can’t see oat milk option) and the flowery taste was wonderful. ( I highly recommend everyone should try this one and ended up to buy the beans back to my country). By they time I arrived ( about 3-4pm) they sold out the cheesecake so I ordered the chocolate one. Still amazing.
Great views as well! You can see a bit of emperor...
Read moreThis coffee shop is completely misunderstood.
Do not make the mistake of comparing it to your favourite coffee hang out. Geshary serves a completely different coffee drinker: the coffee connoisseur.
If you are looking deeper into the world of coffee, this is your educational starting point. It’s mind-blowing. But leave all your coffee biases at the door. Start fresh!
The coffee served here opened my eyes to the world of gorgeously intricate and layered flavours that high end coffee has to offer. What was completely surprising is that the cold brew (with no sugar or milk) is like nothing I have ever tasted before. You might even mistake it for a high end tea. The flavour palette tends to favour acidity (fruits) over charcoal/caramel/chocolate. So don’t come here looking for a dark roast bomb that is one dimensional. This coffee lives in its own class. Whomever selects their coffee is like a master wine sommelier.
Try the basic cold brew and let me know!

I was on my way to some gallery viewings but decided to come through here first.
First thought was - wow! This seems like a fancy spot! Wait there's an elevator? Double wow! And it was another few wows before I got my order.
The Coffee was nice, and it's neat they give you a taste profile card to accompany it. This seems to be a trend in some places in Japan. I wish we had this in Oregon (coffee fanatic there).
Pudding was delicious! Light and airy. I should have ordered another! They give you a cute container of syrup to drizzle over your pudding.
If you want to have a slow relaxing morning. This place is the place to do it. With 4 floors, you can have some nice views of the street below. It's perfect for people watching, and reflecting on your presence here in this lovely country.
Thank you to the staff here, for your...
