Himalaya Curry — Restaurant in Tokyo

Made the big mistake to order via ubereats. Tandoori lacks flavor, no salt, also ordered gapao, not tasty at all. Tastes more like Korean pulgogi. My curry was supposed to be a set, but the Nan was nowhere to be found. Called the restaurant only to find out the person on the phone could not speak proper Japanese, only broken English. Fine I can deal with that. But not with someone who applies elliptical logic and provides the restaurant's address when I asked them to deliver the missing item. That person refused to take any action, notify Ubereats and simply suggested we pick up the Nan or meet at some station nearby. I thought he was joking for a second. Totally incompetent...

I order khao man gai. It is always served with cilantro and tasty Thai sauce that makes the dish tasty. I only received oily rice and piece of steamed chicken without cilantro or sauce. Looked horrible and tasted bad. Costed me 1100 yen....

【追憶の軌跡】白金の密やかなるインドカレー。

コートなしとはいかないが、日差しは既に春を呼び寄せているようであった。

かなり久方ぶりの白金であった。 サラリーマンの姿は極めて少なく、行き過ぎる高級外車の数がこの街の意趣を物語っていた。 それにしても、気軽にランチを楽しめる店が少ない。 彷徨うように歩いていると、 「イラッシャイマセ」と不慣れな日本語で声を掛けられた。 一見何の店なのか判然としない。 そればかりか、店に入ると、小さなテーブルと8席の椅子しかない手狭な店であった。 入口のすぐそばに座り、「中辛ほうれん草チキンカリー」と「チーズナン」のセットをオーダーした。 座った席のすぐ隣のかなり手狭な厨房で調理が始まった。 無音の店内で調理する音が耳に届く。 出来上がると、厨房からカレーとナンの乗ったトレーが伸びて来た。 モスグリーンのカレーを口元に運ぶと、スプーンからほうれん草の香りが漂う。 中辛の割には辛さを感じない。 むしろマイルドな味わいである。 焦げ目から漂う焼きたてのチーズナンからは、とろけるようなチーズが溢れていて、単品でも充分に味わえる。 『カレーというよりもナンがメインではないか』 店内の静寂に抱かれながら、充分なボリュームのナンをゆっくりと噛み締める。 開け放たれた玄関ドアの前には、豊穣の...
