After one week in Tokyo, I couldn't do it without authentic German bread anymore. Here I found it. Just 10 minutes before closing time I still found a good selection of rye bread and "Mischbrot" (a blend of rye and wheat flour). I bought a loaf of "Sonne", a rye bread with sunflower seeds. Excellent bread shop with a German flair (I'm not German so what do I know). Well, I know good bread and they have it. Some favorites of mine are their croissants which they make in a pretzel style, the cinnamon donut balls, and their wheat toast bread.

I've become a regular since I moved to the area and feel extremely lucky to have them...

Staff members are friendly and interior cozy and welcoming. “Die Kunst zu backen” is not just a company slogan but realized in the variety of delicious products.
