Incredibly unique and delicious chicken tonkotsu ramen.
This place is conveniently located directly outside Yotsuya-Sanchome station. They are also open quite late, which is always a plus. The shop itself is very small, with only about 10 seats or so. Would definitely not recommend for groups. Ordering is done on a ticket machine, with no English but does contain pictures.
I ordered the specialty ramen with the "toributa" broth, which is a combination of chicken broth and tonkotsu. The broth is very smooth and creamy, and the entire bowl is covered in this very fine foam which is made with the broth and adds a very unique and creamy texture to the overall experience. The specialty bowl came with both pork and chicken chashu, which was nice.
Very unique and memorable bowl, definitely check...
Read moreNo frills ramen store, as typical in Japan. But a ticket near the entrance and hands it to the staff when you're seated. We got the chicken and pork ramen. It's a mixed broth that was amazing..! Creamy and rich, slightly on the salty side but hits the right spot. Flavor is deep and really enjoyable. The ramen came with a char siew that was not too thin and flavored nicely. It's soft and tender. It also had a piece of chicken that was super tender and tasty. Ramen was cooked nicely, slight bite to it and not too soft. Slurping it with the soup is just heavenly. Overall amazing food...
Read moreThis has just become my new favorite place for ramen! They serve ramen with chicken (light) and chicken and pork soup broth (thick). Their chicken and pork soup broth was so well made that you can see bubbles in the soup. Always have a preference for thick soup over clear soup but their clear chicken soup has changed my mind. Visited this place twice within a week and tried all three kinds of their ramen: pork and chicken soup, chicken soup, and tsuke men and they all impressed me. Next time I’ll try their spicy ramen which is the only thing I haven’t tried on...
