Today I had lunch at This Wunderfull establishment! I came in for a quick lunch and me and my four other compadres were seated at a bar and given the most high quality menus I may have ever seen. I then proceeded to browse the menu for the item I would want to order. This was a VERY hard decision as there was a WIDE vraity of different meat and food items to choose from. After much deliberation I decided to purchase the medium gyukatsu meal. Ordering was easy and simple even with my limited Japanese langue abilities because the incredibly highly trained and helpful staff. After an only a very short wait that was glazed by the wounderfully magical athmosphere of this fine establishment. One I had finally received my food I was overjoyed by the sight set in front of me! Juicy tender fryed meat placed upon a plate, accented by a heathland bowl of rice and miso soup, a set of deliciously flavorful sauces sat there too (it’s safe to say I got a little lost in the sauce 😅) neverless I imeditly dug into my meal, placing my meat on to the grill in front of me lit up warm by my intelligent waiter I let my meat cook until it was oozing with flashing and turned a golden brown hue. After my meat was finished cooking I picked it up the highest quality chop sticks that had been provided to me and dipped my cooked meat into the sauce before placing it into my mouth. OH. MY. HEVENS. This may have been the single greatest moment of my food-eating life(and I have been eating food for well over seven years) the meat in my mouth was like the most delicious party ever! A gift from god was delivered from the heavens and brought to earth to be placed in my mouth! The flavors, Ooh the flavors, they tickled my taste buds in the same manner Wolfgang von betovin stroked the ivory keys of his grand piano. My mouth was like a book; reaching its climax at the touch of Gyukatsu to my tongue! The simple action of eating this meal aligned my mind, body, and Soul into one place in one time all just to enjoy the great meal bestowed in front of me. Soon after I finished the rest of my meal; meat, rice, soup and all. Each bite bringing me as much pleasure as I have described before. After my meal I thanked the chef and felt a wiser, cleaner, and better as a person as I exited the restaurant. I must say this establishment brought me a great luncheon experience that I do wish to experience again. I would give my meal a 20/10 experience I would like to give my thanks to the staff and chefs in this restaurant. The meal was about ~¥2,000 and every yen was worth it. I do wish that more ppl would get to experience this meal. Over all I do recommend this restaurant i had a great experience there and can highly recommend this establishment to...
Read moreWe stumbled upon this local gyukatsu restaurant after an overwhelming evening in Shinjuku and it was a great choice.
The food was excellent, and the experience of cooking your own meat is fun. I recommend getting the menu that includes the onsen egg, which went perfectly with the meat.
The service was perfect, not too overbearing but also friendly and very reactive if you had an issue. Also, it was very accessible for foreigners as they had menus and explanations in English as well.
I highly recommend this place as an alternative to the more famous Gyukatsu chain that is always overcrowded with tourists. We didn’t have to wait, on a Saturday evening, and we still ate a...
Read moreAbsolutely amazing restaurant, serving high quality gyukatsu (steak katsu). They have several options in terms of cuts, I recommend the top end japanese sirloin. Amazing flavor and cookery! Put a small piece of wasabi on your steak, and dip it in one of the two soy sauces. Or try the curry and I also recommend the onsen egg to dip in as well. You can also cook your meat more if you like. We also got tongue, which was really flavorful but less tender than the sirloin of course. I recommend cooking the tongue more if you get it.
You'll probably want to get the extra large portion, omori, because...
