Hotel STAY ARI Shinjuku Gyoen — Hotel in Tokyo

It was impossible to check in for over an hour and management was very rude.

We followed all check in procedures ahead of time, to try and make arrival easier as we were set to arrive at approx midnight and we were travelling with a toddler. Despite this, we were stuck outside for over an hour, with no response or answer from any of the emergency contacts or the property manager, either via WhatsApp, call, or via the booking platform. The property manager "forgot" to send us the final details for check in (room number and code). The front entrance tablet was useless: it was very slow to respond, and kept crashing. When we were finally able to speak with the property manager by phone, she was rude to us, as though we were the ones that made the mistake, when she failed in her duties.

Afterwards, (only after) she realized it was her error, she apologized, but frankly that apology meant little and nothing was done to make up for the behavior or our experience.

The room: spacious, but not entirely clean. There was garbage was on the floor near the dinning room table. Dust in many places. Using the shower ment the whole bathroom was flooded, including around the toilet. They provided 1 set of rubber slippers but this was an inadequate solution.

Fairly spacious, close to two subway stations and only a half hour walk from shinjuku city center. The only drawbacks are the AC that didn’t work properly and turned on by itself, as well as a lack of privacy in the bathrooms: the shower and toilet is in the same area and only a frosted glass door separates it from the rest of the room. Plus the water leaks all over the floor so if you shower in the morning your feet will be wet whenever you use...

Erste Station in Tokyo, Zimmer im Souterrain, was bzgl. des Jetlags hilfreich war. Gute Ausstattung inkl. Waschtrockner (Waschmittel) und WLAN. Gut erreichbar. Alles sehr sauber und durchdacht eingerichtet. Bad mit Dusche und japanischer Toilette. Eigene Lufttrocknung, damit ist das Bad in ein paar Minuten wieder trocken.
