In short, really enjoyed this place. Clean and airy Japanese-influenced design, good quality food and ingredients with fantastic fresh fruits, while pricing/portions were reasonable by Tokyo standards. Being a Brit (albeit a long-time Japan resident), I still find the fruit/cream sandwich concept a little hard to swallow - but these were delicious.

Access by public transport is a little tricky as it’s not near a station (requiring a taxi or bus), but by car it’s straightforward with free parking. There was a queue to get in even at 8am on a Sunday but it moved quickly once it opened.

Would it be worth a journey from central Tokyo as a tourist? I would say yes, just about, as it provides a good Japan experience (high-quality fruit sandwiches! Huge parfaits!) in a different part of the city. The current weak yen also makes the...

Kajitsuya Cafe truly shines with its specialty fruit sandwiches and parfaits, each bursting with fresh, local and seasonal flavors. This café, known for its clean and spacious setting, offers both comfortable indoor and charming outdoor seating, perfect for any weather. Their menu delights not only with these fruity favorites but also with scrumptious French toast and fresh salads.

For beverages, you're well taken care of with a variety of tea options, robust coffee, and crystal-clear citrus fresh water. Since Kajitsuya is quite the popular spot, arriving early is a smart move to snag a good seat and take your time enjoying their standout offerings. Whether you're in for a quick coffee or a leisurely brunch, Kajitsuya Cafe provides a delightful culinary escape with...
