This restaurant is fantastic. A traditional family working together to provide the most incredible Japanese gourmet experience. The fish are so fresh and the rice is perfect. A combination that makes their sushi worth coming a 1000 times. You will get great food and beautiful smiles! I loved it!!

My personal response to Mr. Yuryi that made a bad review of this restaurant: I come to japan for years. I have tried many sushi restaurants in Tokyo and all over this country. From very expensive ones to cheaper ones. This is by far one if the best quality sushis I have ever eaten. I come from Brazil / the biggest Japanese community outside Japan is in my city - Sao Paulo. I have been eating great sushi since I was 3 years old. You should be embarrassed to pretend to understand about sushi or Japanese culture. To all of you who read his review: Ignore this man! He has no idea what he is...

I recommend this place more for the experience rather than the food, although the sushi was very good, is the unique experience that made the evening. This is a small, family owned sushi restaurant, mainly visited by locals. Their English menu is hand written and perhaps not overly precise. You have a choice sets (10 pieces) or order individual nigiri. Every order is one piece. You can also order smaller sides such as miso soup and tea, but I don’t remember I saw them on the menu handed to us. The sushi is prepared in front of you, it’s super fresh, service is quick. The fish does finish, so if there is something you really want to try, arrive early. For example, we couldn’t have the scallops. Overall a very intimate experience near the busy streets...

Ko Sushi in Shinjuku deserves all the stars and more.

A small sushi restaurant with the nicest sushi chef I've ever met. Language was no barrier with him (thank you Google translate), he was incredibly warm and welcoming to my wife and I.

The sushi was probably the best sushi I've ever had in my life. We ordered the Omakase with some sake to go with it. Every fish/shellfish/shrimp was fresh, the wasabi hit just the right spot, and the rice was very well prepared. The chef also took time to explain to us what each ingredient was, highlighting which fishes were seasonal and good to eat at the time of the year. Just writing about it makes me want to head back for another round.

Would highly recommend anyone and everyone to drop by...

April 2024. Sushi place highly highly recommend. There is not a lot of seats, it seems to be mostly frequented by locals. I am not sure I can say this is a hidden spot but it should be more known. The fishes were very fresh and tasty. And we were not expecting to have a menu set when we ordered our fish bowl: They gave us miso soup, tea, as well as tuna cuts and little white fish as sides. It was so delicious, an amazing experience. And at the end of the meal, they gave us fish rice crackers which were very good as well. Such a nice touch and a generous restaurant. We loved it in here. It was super welcoming and not that expensive. Highly recommend.

What a lovely place! Sushi here ... just fantastic! Sushi here tastes much, much and much better than in one of the most expensive sushi restaurants in Seattle. I'm glad we made a stop here. It was a busy time, but the staff gave us a table for 4, despite it being two of us. Ok, I got it - Americans, we need a space! Just kidding! 😂 Our order - a set of sushi, Japanese red wine and orange juice, came fast and, surprisingly we got complimentary surprise food from the chef! All the staff are friendly and helpful. If you are wandering around the Shinjuku area and looking for great, tasty sushi - go here! They're good, really good!
