I can not get past how rude the front desk personnel is. I was checking into my hotel for 1 person, but I had arrived with my father. My father was simply walking me to my hotel, and then he was flying back home and I was finishing my trip in this hotel. While I was trying to hug and say goodbye to my father, the front desk staff barked at me 3 separate times to come to the desk and check in. They did not want to let me say bye. Upon finally going to the desk to check in, the staff member asked me about 4 separate times if I am the only one staying in the room. I told him as I had already told him before that yes my father is just leaving and flying home in a few hours. The staff then told me 2 separate times that nobody is allowed into the lobby of the hotel without a key, which I understood, but they also made sure to tell me that my “friend” (father) would be unable to visit my room at all. I said again I understand and that I had already told him multiple times that I am the only one staying in the room. It just felt very accusatory and I felt as if they did not trust me as a guest in the slightest. This is perhaps more of a one-off issue, but I sure hope nobody has the same experience. Rooms were just alright nothing special at all for the price. ****EDIT: my room was just “cleaned” yesterday and I will share a picture of the pillow case that was left. Absolutely disgusting, very happy to be checking out tomorrow.

I would like to praise this hotel for its reasonable price, but there are a few shortcomings that are difficult to solve Firstly, the toilet in the room is very small, and it is hard to accept as an Asian male, so it is hard to imagine how foreigners can use it. Secondly, the air conditioner in the room was very hot and the hotel staff could only suggest you to turn off the air conditioner, but the air in the room was very hot and stuffy, I knew the window was locked and asked the staff to open the window for me, the staff gave me a key to open it by myself and reminded me to return it when I check out. Thirdly, i was living in third floor, after opening the window, you can hear the drunken and noisy Japanese people on the street all night long, and the sound of their drunken laughter and noise is very disturbing, and you can hear the sound of police cars all night long. So you can only accept the muggy indoor temperature or the noisy outside sound Personally, I feel helpless and disappointed to have moved in. Forgive me for not being able to recommend this hotel unless you are a price priority user

Nice, tidy hotel next to Kabukicho Okubo park . Easy to find. From airports take the Tokyu Express bus to the famous Kabukicho tower and walk 200 feet. Check in was fast. Front door is locked , use room key to open Nice, clean, quiet, room is small with a double bed, but everything fits together perfectly and it had every supplies you will need, also climate control is perfect. I booked via Agoda $85 includes 2 buffet breakfasts, each costing $12 otherwise, a very good value for Shinjuku. Buffet is small, had about 50 items, but mostly authentic Japanese dishes, soups, noodles, smoked fish ect, also eggs, bacon, croissants, toast, juices, coffees and Western breakfast items. Considering a bowl of ramen in Kabukicho costs around $10, this breakfast buffet is delicious and an excellent value, even better than the one at the Tokyo Hilton, which serves mostly Western breakfast fares.

Although the location of the hotel is very convenient and the room itself is sufficient there were a few things that spoiled our experience staying at this hotel.

Firstly, the AC in the room doesn't allow you to turn it onto cooling and so the room remains hot, which is extremely uncomfortable when you are trying to sleep.

Secondly, the bed is advertised as a queen, however it was barely big enough to fit myself and my partner on it (we are both 6ft).

The first two complaints are only minor and could be looked over but the thing that ruined our experience here the most was the customer service. Cleaning of the rooms is meant to happen every second day. On one of the days we were supposed to have our room cleaned, they didn't and left a note for us stating that they would clean the room the next day. The next day came and instead of cleaning it like they promised, they just left some fresh towels hanging on the door. We took the note down to reception on our way out and asked them if they were going to do the clean. The receptionist said she would call housekeeping to do it. On our return, they had not done a proper clean and had pretty much just re-made the bed and given us new towels. They had left multiple bags of rubbish laying on the floor, some which had food too. They only provide small bins so they do really need to be emptied every second day (not every 4). We decided to leave the bags at the entrance of our room until they were retrieved.

We had another experience with the washing machine facilities. Not only does the drying function on the machine not work, as it takes multiple attempts to dry with each costing more money. We had our wet washing in the dryer, working on an additional 30min cycle. We went to check on it not more than 10 minutes after the cycle had finished and our clothes had been removed and someone else's washing was running a 2hr cycle on the machine. Usually in these situations the person putting their laundry in would leave it by the machine for the previous person to collect, however, our washing was nowhere to be seen. My partner went down to reception to ask them about it and they had it stored there, still soaking wet. They were rude and implied it was our fault for leaving our washing in there too long. We then had to take our wet washing back to the room while waiting for the other person's 2hr cycle to finish.

Lastly, on check out they didn't even say something along the lines of 'thank you for staying with us', or 'safe travels'. They merely checked our card and said 'okay done'. I understand English is their second language but having worked in customer service for over 8 years myself (and as a hotel receptionist for part of that), it doesn't take much effort to thank the guest for choosing their hotel to stay at.

So overall the hotel itself is okay, its small but its what you expect for an affordable hotel in Tokyo. However, the customer service there...

Great location to easily navigate and access all the fun and enjoyable locations near by: close to shinjuku station but rather easier from okubo/shin okubo station me being to japan many times was close to everything i need to do but for first times location offers tho bucket list things in walking distance..only a few mins walk from godzilla statue at hotel gracery with baseball batting cages literally next door from the entrance and 7/11 also next door and with a open basketball court/soccer next door its also offers fitness oppurtunitys to run if your into that stuff..plenty of food options around to many to choose from but you will never go hungry in japan thats for sure.||Check in is simple at 3pm and not a minute earlier another hotel that dont offer early check in but can leave luggage in foyer if early birders and explore in the mean time.|Only thing about check in was the breakfast option where they give on price and then when its time to pay you ebd up paying more with the japan tax so bit of a stitch up and tbh there breakfast was pretty dull to some of the hotels ive had in japan so done it once seen the options offered and was happy that i only got the one voucher..|Being solo the room itself fits all my needs with luggage storage under the bed for my carry on which is good and leaves the rest of the room to walk and still have stuff on desk and storage provided.|Has all the offerings you can possibly need in the room fridge, safe, kettle tho only thing i use is the fridge for the water offered on a daily and what ever i bring back from the shops..vending machines also on the floor levels when you hop.of the lift to what floor you reside on.|Bathroom was kept clean daily and was decent size even for forigners with shower/bath wet room combo.||Laundrys located i think 2nd floor with 3 machines to choose from starting from like 300yen to use and all self detergent which is the best in japan always with in built dryer and alot cheaper to use and works greater then other countrys and can see the process of washing time and availabilty from your tv in your room..so i just leave the screen on and can watch the process whilst attending to other things at the time..|Staff were friendly from check in to checkout and everyone goes about there day and doing there own thing just be sure to take your room key with you when going out side will need to scan it when entering the hotel as a safety feature even though its japan and safe as even in the district of kabuchiko nothing at all to worry about||Great location and hotel to stay at..top spot in kabuchiko and shinjuku to wander around and explore the highlights of tokyo and usually with in 1 and 10 minites of great locations and eateries ect.cant ever get bored...

Just a 2-minute walk from Seibu-Shinjuku Station, and within easy reach of JR Shinjuku Station and Higashi-Shinjuku Station (Toei Oedo and Fukutoshin lines), you're right in the beating heart of Shinjuku. The brand new Tokyu Kabukicho Tower and the vibrant, a-taste-of-Korea Shin-Okubo Koreatown are practically on your doorstep. Plus, with Shinjuku Gyoen National Garden and the Tokyo Metropolitan Government Building nearby, it’s the perfect base for exploring everything Tokyo has to offer. Step inside, and you'll find modern, stylish rooms. While compact, they're cleverly designed to be functional and provide a comfortable haven to rest after a long day of sightseeing. It's great that all rooms are non-smoking and come equipped with an air purifier/humidifier – a thoughtful touch! Security is top-notch too, with 24-hour card key access to the entrance, giving you peace of mind throughout your stay. But another real highlight at Premier Hotel -CABIN- Shinjuku is their amazing breakfast buffet, boasting over 40 Japanese and Western dishes. I opted for the Japanese selection and was treated to delicious, flavorful side dishes. Depending on the season, they even offer special treats like "Buri shabu" (yellowtail hot pot)! There's plenty for Western tastes too, ensuring everyone starts their day with a satisfying and delicious meal. While Premier Hotel -CABIN- Shinjuku offers a fantastic combination of comfort, security, and a great breakfast right in the electrifying heart of Shinjuku – making it a sure bet for an amazing Tokyo trip – be aware that its proximity to Kabukicho means you'll encounter numerous touts, adult entertainment venues, and love hotels in the immediate vicinity, which can be a bit overwhelming. However, if you're looking for an unbeatable location, this hotel is hard to beat!
