I came here late at night for dinner with a friend. For reference, we ordered 2 drinks, 1 appetizer, 2 pastas, and 2 meat dishes which ended up to be about 20,000 yen total. The price is a bit steep for the amount of food that you get as we both were not exactly full after the meal.

The homemade pastas themselves were delicious, but the uni sauce tasted a bit too fishy for our liking. The meat dishes were both tasty and cooked well but again, portions were a bit small.

The staff were friendly, but what bugged me the most during the whole meal was that we could clearly hear the staff chit-chatting next door at our table. We were seated on the second floor in a room that was connected to another room which had the service counter (no door separation). Towards the end of our meal when all the tables around us had left, the staff started taking out cleaned tableware and placing them on an empty table behind us. At the same time, in the next room with the service counter, we could hear loud clanking of silverware and the chattering of staff as they conglomerated to clean. I understand that they wanted to start cleaning early but it was rude to do that so loudly when customers were still seated in the dining area adjacent. This was a very interesting experience, but first is that the food was very tasty, albeit slightly pricey. It fit a 12 person group in the basement floor with a reservation, and had a pretty cozy atmosphere with nice background music. The servers did their best to speak and understand our english, but it was difficult at times. We ordered with the online English menu, but there are a couple things to consider that confused our group: First, the pasta images on the online menu is extremely tiny compared to the actual serving that you get, which lead us to order too much. Second, when we ordered two servings of the same pasta, they put both of those servings on one plate, but we didn’t know that. Because of this, we were wondering why the pasta serving was so huge and why the other serving of pasta wasn’t coming. We ordered too much food, but they had takeout boxes for the pizza. The problems I had with my group was probably a combination of not being able to speak Japanese and not being familiar with Italian cuisine, but I think these are good things to...

I’ve been traveling to Tokyo for over 20 years and this was, by far, one of the worst dining experiences I’ve ever had.

The food was truly awful—completely below any acceptable standard. Despite being an Italian restaurant, the food was neither Italian nor Japanese in quality or flavor. For a price of 8,500 yen per person, the quality was shockingly poor. Our group of 8 was crammed into a tiny basement, which made the experience even worse. The pasta was not well cooked, and the sauce tasted as if it came straight from a supermarket shelf. The pork shoulder was stinky af and too salty.

Overall, the meal was terrible, and I would never return. We also felt slightly disrespected as tourists, which added to the negativity of the experience. The one redeeming factor was a helpful waitress who did her best despite the circumstances. This was a thoroughly disappointing experience, and I wouldn’t recommend this...

I ordered a pizza, tiramisu and 2 glasses of wine. Pizza and tiramisu were just very average. Nothing special for this price. When I ordered a glass of orange wine, it was a little bit left in the bottle, maybe half the standard portion but for that small amount they charged me a full portion of 1200 yen. When I received the bill, I saw they charged me 500 yen for seat which I found it absolutely ridiculous. It was the first time ever I saw a restaurant charging for a seat. Overall I did not have a good experience with food and service and it didn't worth what I paid for.

東西線神楽坂駅から赤城神社を左に行った先に300mほど行ったところにあるイタリアントラットリア。遠くからも分かる大きめ目の黄色いライトの看板が目印。土曜の20:30に予約も無く訪ねたが、運よく奥のテーブル席が空いていた。この日はラッキーだったが予約したほうがよい。(以前はまだ肌寒い時期だったが中の席が埋まっておりテラス席で頂いた。ブランケットを貸してもらえたがさすがに寒い。そのときはワインが進んでしまった。) 今回は「タルタルギーナコース」を頂いた。前菜、ピッツァ、パスタ、メイン、ドルチェ。内容はお任せ、ちょっと量が多いかなと思ったが最終的にはやはり多め。ちなみにわたしは183cm,85kgと大柄ですので推して図っていただきたい。相当腹ペコで行った方がいいですね。 前菜は水牛のモッツァレラと魚と豆など。モツァレラは極上で、ぜひ頂きたい。ぷよぷよモチモチだけど濃厚でホエイが染み出るほど。お変わりが欲しい。 ピッツァはマルゲリータを期待したが、チーズだけのピッツァ(申し訳ない、名前は忘れたので写真を見て欲しい)。はちみつを付けて食べるらしい。はちみつ無しだと一口食べるとシンプルにチーズと生地の香りがさらに食欲をそそります。美味い!次にはちみつを付けて頂くと、まったく異なるのに驚く。ドルチェでも良いんじゃないかと思うほどはちみつがチーズと生地を包んで、パンケーキのような味わいだが甘すぎずコースの真ん中で食べ疲れを解消してくれる。美味すぎる。白ワインといっしょにガツガツ食べてしまった。うーん、もう一枚ほしかった。 パスタは魚貝のパスタ。提供されたときは白鳥をかたどったアルミ箔で包まれていた。ん?ここまでの感じと急に違う華美たプレートで違和感を感じてしまったがテーブルで開けたてもらった瞬間、魚貝の芳醇な香りが店中に広がるんないかというほど。はよ食わせろと(笑)。海老、アサリ、手打ちの太麺パスタ。パスタはアルデンテというよりは、山梨のほうとうのような食べ応え。魚貝の旨味がパスタに染み込んでるが、噛むと中心はパスタの香りもじっくり味わえる。魚貝にもちゃんと味が残っていてダシ用だけではなく、食べておいしい。おっと、スープが少ない。パンにスープを染み込ませて一滴も残さず食べたいのに、 残念。 メインは北海道放牧豚、白身の淡白な見た目だがイギリス塩と合わせて食べると、肉感が強いのにさっぱりしている。どんどん食べられる。脂身部分はとろける様な柔らかさ。旨味も凝縮しておりしつこくない。そういえば最近は牛肉に食べ飽きてきたので、メインに豚は久々で「やっぱり豚も美味いなぁ」などと思ってしまった。いやいや、ここの豚が美味いんだろと。。 ドルチェは沖縄パイナップルソースのフルーツとローズマリーのパウンドケーキ。パウンドケーキは香りが強い。個人的には好きだが、嫁さんは食べられなかったので人によるのではないか。パイナップルソースにパウンドケーキを浸してパクパク食べる。これ、家庭料理っぽくてなかなか。しかし、この辺でかなりのボリュームをいただき、白2赤1をグラスでいただいて相当満腹。。 最後にエスプレッソをいただく。苦味が強く、ワインでほろ酔いの良い感じから目パッチリになるほど。これも日本っぽいパンチを抑えたものではい。寝起きに頂きたい。毎日飲みたいが、家で作るのは難しいなあ。 ここまでワインのことをあまり書いていないが、ワインには明るくないので大抵はお任せ。今回もお勧めをいただいた。赤ワインの王様バローロと同じ生産者の白は白眉でした。お店の方が皆さんワインは詳しい(詳しすぎる。)のでお任せしたほうが間違いない。 お店の方は皆さんフレンドリーでイタリアっぽく、楽しく過ごすことが出来た。料理を待たされる事も無く、何度も通いたくなる。近くの常連さんは皿を持参してパスタを持ち帰るそうだ。平日はパスタにワインを軽く引っ掛けておわりにするのも良いだろう。 さてさて、お腹いっぱい食べてしまったので神楽坂を散歩して岐路に着こう。

And honestly though, I don’t think the price is that expensive (which some of the reviews mention) given the location and quality. However, one thing I wasn’t comfortable throughout my time there was that the waiters kept coming and going to get food literally above my head from the kitchen as I was sitting at the counter.
