⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ I had an incredible time at Samurai Theater Tokyo! From the moment I walked in, the staff were welcoming, professional, and clearly passionate about what they do. The experience was hands-on from start to finish—you get to dress in authentic samurai clothing, learn the basics of sword handling, and even choreograph a fight scene that feels straight out of a movie. It was both fun and safe, and the instructors made it easy to follow along while keeping the atmosphere exciting. The attention to detail, the energy, and the chance to capture amazing photos and videos made this a highlight of my trip to Tokyo. Highly recommend this to anyone looking for a unique cultural experience. Whether you’re into history, martial arts, or just want to try something unforgettable, this is the place to do it.

Overall this was a really enjoyable experience. I found it to be an engaging performance that showcased different choreographed fight sequences, slicing a tatami pillar, and dressing someone in a samurai outfit amongst other bits. It was a great way to experience what it may have been like for a samurai. The only reason I'm not giving it 5* is because of the price and I wasn't consistently hooked into it. Both it's strength and weakness was also the very intimate nature of it - it was only my partner and I and one other in a fairly small room. That's not a critiscm just something to note. I felt it was a little expensive for what it was but that aside I'd recommend for those looking for a samurai experience. A lot of effort has gone into it with the lighting and music synchronised to the action.

I discovered this tour online during my first visit to Japan and thought it would be fun to watch. However, I didn’t read closely enough to realize that it was an interactive experience, which I was okay with. When I got there, I was fitted with a kimono and started learning the different moves and their meanings, then executing them. The two teachers were so patient with me. But they also made it fun for me, which gave me the initiative to work harder. By the end of the session, I was ready to slice someone up (the swords were NOT sharp) if they came up behind to attack or cause me harm. If you have some time, please go and take this tour. It was the most fun I had during my stay in Japan. In addition, I learned some things, which is always a plus.
