Went with my 8yo son for lunch. We each had a burger and fries which ended up costing around 4000 yen. Burgers came and I’ll admit to being surprised with the small amount of fries included. Still, they were tasty enough, and a good balance of crisp.
The burgers were just sort of okay. Mine, the Brooklyn, was incredibly oily. The meat seemed good quality, but everything else was just overly salted. Could barely taste the mushrooms over whatever seasonings were used.
To be fair, my son really enjoyed his, but as he ate all I could think about was the amount of grease going into his burger holder, and that to me it looked like his bun had been over charred. About half the bottom bun was briquet black on the inside. Like I said, he enjoyed it, and I didn’t want to complain and ruin our outing, but this was the toast you would likely toss.
So, yeah, spent 4000 yen on burgers that looked pretty that were only a slight step up from fast food, overly salty and greasy, and a bun that should have been tossed.
And, what made matters worse, the overpriced burger didn’t even fill me up.
But hey, at least they had literally 4 wait staff for a 5 table establishment to watch as we continually needed to fill up three finger sized water glasses to combat the salt and the July heat.
I ate here once about four years ago and it was great. I’ve been here twice since then and leave wondering...
Read more100% agreed with Sandro. The quality is there, that's undeniable. Meat is good, perfectly cooked, generously sized. The buns are wonderful, crispy and flavory. But there is a lack a flavor in the burger and in the potatoes. Salt and pepper, or herbs, or some kind of spice would bring the extra "magic" that makes all the experience worth it. I took the signature burger which is quite simple. Now I am thinking of going back to check a more elaborated and hopefully more interesting burger. Many cocktails are available, a bit expensive I find, but attractive. I had the milky one, quite good and surprising, with an egg feeling that comes from the look and the taste, while no egg is involved. The interior design is totally opposite from classic burger places, with a kind of fancy cocktail bar atmosphere, minimalistic. And you are served and can talk directly with the owner (both in English and Japanese), which is surprising in a good way. Go and ask for more seasoning, you can blindly trust him for...

I didn't have big expectations and it might not be the best ever Vegan burger in Tokyo but hey, is tasty!
For 980 yen they offer the standard one patty and for 1590 yen the double patty version.
The patty have a consistency similar to falafel, is a bit oily and crunchy. The bun is soft, not excellent in my honest opinion but still ok.
Filled as the most traditional hamburger with lattuce, tomatoes, cucumber, onion and a sauce. They serve it in a plate with kale and cherry tomatoes salad.
Personally I eat more at lunch time so the total quantity is not fully supporting my appetite but might be totally ok for many others.
The shop is very simply and elegantly furnished, very very clean, the American style bgm is good and at a perfect level to enjoy a conversation. Indoor temperature is ok but I would prefer 1 or 2 degrees warmer. Water in the restroom is only cold so in winter you will freeze your hands when wash them.
Finally the owner, mr. Eliot, is a very...
