La vie brillante — Restaurant in Tokyo

We are so happy to see this place is still here! My husband and I used to visit this bakery when we lived in Kami-Itabashi a few years ago. The owner was very kind to us and always had a warm personality even though we are very different from most customers. I am tattooed American and my husband is a fully tattooed Japanese, both of which can make Japanese people very uncomfortable, but we always felt welcomed here. We lived just around the corner from this bakery and would come here as a special treat, especially to get the cream bun.

We haven't been able to return to Japan since the pandemic, but one thing we plan to do is visit this bakery, even if we have no real reason to go to Kami-itabashi otherwise. We just really want to say hi to the owner and let him know we could successfully get married (we were going through the fiancee visa process at the time) and enjoy his delicious pastries once again! 店主さんの一生懸命が伝わってくる、応援したくなるお店です。 一つ一つのパンや焼き菓子、包装、ディスプレイ、お店全体の雰囲気、店員さん、商品のみならずお店全体に店主さんの一生懸命さとか、より良く！という気持ちが伝わってきて、とても気持ち良かったです。。。 定番のパンもオリジナリティーをしっかりアレンジしているし、焼き菓子も手が込んでいてお味もとても良かったです。あまり目立たない場所にあったので、近所の方以外はわざわざ行かないと気付かない感じでしたが、とても応援したくなる一生懸命な温かさの伝わる感じの良いお店でした。。。

＜再訪＞21.5.15 本日板橋方面に用事があり再訪しました。今日はハード系のパンを目的にしていったところ、イチジクとオレンジのカンパーニュだったかな。最も好きな組み合わせのハードで、味も花まる。オススメして頂いた他のパンも◎。。。ただ今日は二人いる店員さんのうち、オススメして頂いた先日と同じ店員さんはとても感じがよい接客だったけど、もう一人の人はちょっと残念でしたね。。。　後ろでお客が待ってるのにずっとお尻向けてパンを陳列してるし、気付かないのか気付いた上のわざとなのか、どちらでも接客業には減点かな。。。　レジでも上からだし、最後の一言も居酒屋みたいで残念。。　もう一人の店員さんのように、さりげないアドバイスと気遣いでそっと寄り添うような接客がこのお店と商品にあっていると思いました。　パンはやっぱり美味しいし、他にも色々食べてみたいので近...
