Mala-eki — Restaurant in Tokyo

It’s a Chinese hot pot restaurant down in the basement. I grew up in New York and I was craving hot and sour soup. Well, I found it. It tasted delicious and had very subtle seasoning which is a mark of a very well trained chefs in the kitchen . The portion was very big enough for 2 to 3 people. It was delicious and even though I wasn’t hungry, I ate it all by myself..

This is my first time visiting this restaurant and I try to ask the staff if all their plates are a large portions like this . We had a bit of a communication gap since I spoke English and they spoke mostly Mandarin and some Japanese. But I think I answered my own question. Yes, it seems like their portions are for sharing with several people dining like family style very common in China. .

I went here for lunch and it was great. They had a lunch beer option for just 180 yen and lunch items.

I'm not too familiar with sichuan cuisine but I thought this was one of the best mabo tofu I had. They also give you a desert which already puts it way above the normal teishoku restaurants.

They had booth type seats and normal open table seats. If you want to have a kinda private experience, I think this works really well.

Accessibilitywise, it's not wheelchair accessible at all. It's in B1F and the only way to go is by stairs.

Affordabilitywise, it's really affordable. It was 800 yen for mapo tofu teishoku, 180 for beer so, under 1000 yen...

A proper chinese "Si Chuan" restaurant located down stair. There are around 44 seats inside the restaurant, not yet included a seperate room that might able to sit up 8 persons. All seats are seperated into 4 each block, seats attahed wall are all well seperate with High back chair, and isle was block by partition which glass was use in upper section and make vision ckear to look out. The portion of food serve is in big size. Food taste good, suitable for spicy eater. Those can't take spicy can choose normal taste. Decoration is normal and pack.
