THIS PLACE IS A SCAM!!

Be careful if you're a tourist. I'm a Malaysian, and my tour group went there for lunch on 23rd April 2024.

Our tour guide has arranged for our group to eat there, after talking to the manager to make sure that the full menu is available.

However, upon arrival, we were told that we could only choose either the nasi lemak or the nasi goreng (fried rice).

We didn't voice our dissatisfaction, even though we saw some customers that came later were able to order something else from the menu. We were given four pieces of satay, which we were told is complimentary.

One person from our group finished early so she wanted to pay first. The manager said it was ¥2,100. She argued that in the menu, the fried rice / and the nasi lemak is only ¥1500. She has the menu with her, and she pointed at the items on the menu, and the manager grabbed the menu from her and yelled at her, saying, "This is not for you."

Not wanting to make trouble, everyone in the tour group paid ¥2,100

When we returned to the van and told our tour guides, they were outraged because we were scammed (our lunch wasn't that expensive), and we were only given two options from the menu even though when they called, the manager told them all items on the menu were available.

I visited this Malaysian restaurant with my family on April 7, 2025, to try some authentic Malay dishes. We ordered:

Nasi Goreng Kampung (spicy fried rice)

Kueh Bakar (a traditional Malay dessert)

Nyonya Laksa (spicy noodle soup)

✨ Food Review:

The Nasi Goreng Kampung was nicely spiced and flavorful.

The Kueh Bakar was also tasty and enjoyable.

However, the Nyonya Laksa didn’t meet our expectations in terms of taste.

💰 Table Charge Alert: One downside was the table charge policy. After 5 PM, there is a charge per person (330 Yen). In return, each guest receives two small rolls, even if you don’t want them. The charge still applies whether or not you eat the rolls.

Disappointing Experience at this restaurant.

Unfortunately, my visit to this restaurant in Shibuya was quite disappointing. From the moment we entered, no one greeted us or offered any assistance, even though the place wasn’t busy. We chose an empty table and sat down, only to be rudely shouted at, possibly by the owner, telling us to move just because we were a party of two.

It was an hour before closing time, and there were plenty of empty tables, so the reaction felt unnecessary and very unwelcoming. The lack of hospitality really left a negative impression, and I wouldn’t recommend this place based on how we were treated.

While the food was served quickly, the service charge was high, and the overall unwelcoming attitude made the visit not worth...
