We are a family of 4 (2 adults, 2 small kids), the tallest being 5 feet and 5 inches. I'm glad we booked the Deluxe Corner Twin as it was a good size for our family. It's Tokyo, so the space size was expected. We didn't want to spend twice the amount for something bigger. That said, I'm so glad we booked this hotel. Check-in was simple-ish enough, with a self check-in (and check-out) experience, the complicated part was needing to pull out my passport to scan since I'm not a Japanese resident. You also get to pick the number of room key cards here. Once you get your keys you can use one in the elevator to go to your room. The space in our room was good enough, space utilization in the room is quite efficient. There is no closet but we were about to hang things by the door entrance using the shelf with hangers on the wall. We had one small carry on that we put aside, we later saw that there was room under the bed to use as storage. There's a safe, which is a combination lock built into the shelf, it's pretty secure. We used the do not disturb sign during our two nights here. We were on the thirteenth floor and the view was of an office building across the street, but you could see the top of the electric signs by Shibuya Crossing. Don't book this hotel for the views. Once we were settled, my kids wanted udon, so I searched for one and we walked with eating at that restaurant in mind... however we came across an outdoor izakaya restaurant (see pictures) and since they had udon and a lot of other small dishes, we ate there. It was convenient, we just crossed the main major street towards the Adidas store and it's to the left. Once we got back to the hotel, I ordered a takeout pizza from Good Cheese, Good Pizza to bring to our room. While waiting for the pizza I had their draft Kirin Heartland beer. The Matthews margherita pizza was delicious. The next two mornings we also ate breakfast at Good Cheese, Good Pizza, it was that good! I love the convenience of this restaurant, it made starting or ending our day very efficient and it helps that the food is fresh and very delicious. On our last day, they held our luggage as we explored Shibuya (we walked over to the Pokemon Center, which happened to also have Nintendo, Capcom, Jump stores). We definitely would stay at this hotel again. Note: If you used Shibuya Station to get here, you can walk underground (away from the sun) within a few steps of the hotel, just take the B1 exit. It's so convenient. If you exit Shibuya Station near Shibuya Crossing/Hachiko, it's a long (in our case) hot walk with your luggage to the hotel. We also noticed that there's a neighborhood police station near the hotel; it's in a safe area.

Gem of a hotel in the heart of Shibuya! LOCATION 2min walk to Shibuya station (though the actual train line is probably another 10min walk away). 10min walk to Shibuya scramble. 10min walk to Harajuku and 15min walk to Omotesando, 18min walk to Harajuku/ Takeshita street. 30min train ride to Ginza. Overall SUPERB location to explore those areas of Tokyo. Right across the hotel is a mall (Miyashita Park) and of course all the convenience stores within a 3-5min walk. TIP: There is a airport bus shuttle (USD22/one way) at Shibuya station. It looks walkable on the map, but if you have 2-3 luggage, it would be a great challenge to navigate through the human jungle to the shuttle bus pick up point. I would highly suggest taking a cab to the bus station :) It's about a 1.5 hour very comfortable journey, including one other hotel pick up. There is a locked luggage store room at the hotel lobby, so you can leave your bags there after check out. ROOM Room is functional and well maintained. And most importantly - CLEAN, with 4 pillows! Bed was firm and comfortable. I stayed in a 11sqm room, at first I was very apprehensive about being cooped up in a capsule type of room, but the design and layout made the room spaces very usable - for one big luggage, and a cabin size luggage. The room was very clean, bare amenities - but more than enough - slippers, pajamas, tooth brush and tooth paste, 1 body towel and 1 hand towel. The shower had a rain bath and bath gel/ shampoo. Rest of the room had a fridge, safe and hair dryer. Check in was done via a machine on the second floor and there is a cafe on that same level. Even though check in was automated, there are very friendly staff there to assist. Rooms are well sound insulated so there was not much noise from the street (from 10th floor) and no noise from the rooms next door, only noise was from the vacuuming (after 10am) from room service. TV has pre-installed Youtube and Netflix. FOOD There is a breakfast menu - western style - see attached picture. Cafe on level 2 and another cafe on level 1. Lots of other options around the hotel so go out and explore!

Highly overrated hotel in Shibuya, claims it's a 4 star but based on the experience it closer to a 2 and that is a stretch. The price was obscene for what it was.. definitely gives aLoft vibes which is not what you expect for the price. Most useless staff we encountered across our entire Japan trip. They never looked up from their laptops when people pass by; you would think this would lead to a better response time to their emails, sadly no, you'll still wait 3+ hrs for a simple question. They were also incapable of posting a letter, a letter! Clearly this is the level of service of a 4 star establishment. They were unwilling or incapable of making a reservation for us for dinner, don't expect any concierge service while staying at this hotel, again not what you'd expect for a hotel claiming to be 4 stars... The amenities are quite cheap and the room is small. I understand it's Japan and the scale is different from the photos. We stayed in a few other hotels during our travels that were smaller and more luxurious for less. The cleanliness of the rooms was subpar with dust everywhere, stains on the shade curtains, and furniture. We even found a couple bugs in the rooms.. Top notch cleaning for a 4 star hotel! Since I can't give it less than 1 star, I'll say the only advantage this hotel may have is it's location but that's a street. I don't like leaving negative reviews but this experience was so bad, I had to share it to warn others. Highly encourage anyone to book elsewhere, there are better hotels nearby at better rates. We cannot stress that enough, do not book here. We fell for a bait and switch which soured the end of our trip. Update: Based on the speed of their response to this review (12mins). I understand why the staff never take their eyes off their computers. They are spending it with damage control for the crappy experience..

The All Day Place (ADP) Shibuya is the perfect place to use as a base to explore the Shibuya area, as long as you are traveling light on humans and belongings. It was opened in April 2022 and still feels quite new. ||ADP is conveniently located just off of Meiji-dori, about 450 metres (a 6-7 minute walk) north from the Miyamasuzaka Exit of Shibuya station. I took the JR East Narita Express (N’EX) train from the airport and was able to get from the terminal to Shibuya Station in about 1 hour 20 minutes. There are of course many other transportation options, but the N’EX placed me within easy walking range of ADP, even with luggage, for ¥2,500 (each way) which is a bargain. Pro-tip: If you take the N’EX and plan on staying in Japan for less than 14 days, the discounted round trip option I paid for is available for ¥5,000 and saves you around 18% compared to buying a one-way fare each way. ||ADP is very much a self-service experience. Checking in involves going up to the lobby which is located on the 2nd floor via the elevator that is just past the street level restaurant/cafe (you will need to scan your key card to access this elevator after hours). During work hours, the hotel staff sit around a glass table that is flanked by the elevators on one side, and a row of check in kiosks on the other. Using the check in kiosks is self explanatory with multiple language options available (though the staff is very eager to help), and if all of the steps are completed correctly, you will get a receipt with your room details on it along with a key card. Bear in mind check in time is 3pm and check out is 11am. There is a luggage storage room and clean bathrooms near the check in area in case you arrive or leave outside of those hours. ||Back to the point in my first paragraph about traveling light. I stayed for 3 nights and booked a Compact room for 2 nights and a Large Corner King room for the last night.||The Compact room is tiny (think single college dorm room), but very efficiently laid out. Once you walk through the door, the toilet and shower doors are immediately left and right of where you are standing. I would personally struggle with sharing this room with another person. If you bring a full size (30”) suitcase you will have to keep it closed and upright, or you will not be able to get in and out of the room. Also, the only seating surface is a stool that is located next to the trash can under the desk/sink/table. Pro-tip: I found that there was enough space in the toilet area to keep my luggage stood up in and out of the way, while remaining useable. ||The Large Corner King room feels like mansion compared to the Compact. There is an actual hallway, and the bathroom is in its own enclosed space. A cushioned section of the bed frame serves as a bench (though to be honest the cushion fabric looked in need of a wash). Keeping a full size suitcase laid out on the provided luggage rack in the hallway means having to squeeze by it to get in and out of the room.||Sound levels are very low in both rooms, I recorded 32-33dB at midnight. However, there is construction on a new building happening across the street, which means sound intrusion bumps up a few decibels in the morning. ||Both rooms have the exact same features in terms of amenities. There is a small fridge, a TV, an electric kettle, 2 tea cups, a pitcher for drinking water, a hairdryer and a room humidifier. ADP provides a toothbrush and toothpaste film, that must be seen and tried to be believed, along with 2 glasses in the bathroom area. There is also a lockable cubby/drawer that you can set your own combination on for storing valuables in. ||Interestingly, there was a set of pajamas in the room, which seems to be common place in small hotels (I visited friends at a neighboring hotel on this trip and they had them there too). Even more interestingly, they were the wrong size for me when I first got to the room, but were changed to the correct size by housekeeping the following day. ||There is a drinking water dispenser in the laundry room which is located on the 8th floor, which also features a craft beer vending machine (!). The 3 washer/dryer units are coin operated and the laundry room smelled clean.||There are several vending machines and “konbini” (convenience stores) located near the hotel, Starbucks is a stone’s throw away at the Meiji-dori intersection. The hotel restaurant was also always busy, and it seems locals like to dine here (always a good sign).||All in all, I would stay here again without hesitation. I had compared prices of several hotels within a 1 km radius of Shibuya Station, and I felt ADP represented the best value based on price, room comfort and location versus the other properties...

Excellent experience. Much has been written in other reviews about the laid back receptionist area and self-serve check-in, but there was always two attendants present and when I checked-in, they were at hand to help me through the quick process. ||Entry to every room requires taking two elevators--the first from the street level to the second level and the second from the receptionist area on the second floor to the actual rooms' levels. Neither elevator is large, but the wait was only mild for the first elevator because there is just one. For the second elevator, there are two and they arrived upon summoning quickly every time during my stay. For security, the second elevator will only function upon swiping one's room card at the elevator bank on the second level next to the receptionist area. I liked that because that ensured that only guests could access the actual room levels. ||My hotel room was compact like may other reviewers have noted about their rooms, and the view was over the rooftops of nearby buildings and devoid of any street views. But, the room was exceptionally quiet and every nook and cranny was efficiently utilized, reminding me of a luxury cruise line's cabin. The amenities were delightful including a hot water kettle that heated the tap water I filled it with in less than a minute; the pajamas on the bed; slippers in their hammock near the door; the bidet in the combined shower and water closet area; the black-out curtains and semi-transparent overlay curtains; the provided bamboo toothbrushes and toothpaste papers; a nice firm bed; and an efficient cooling system with the control panel only in Japanese (a helpful attendant offered to come up and walked me through its operation mid-way through my stay).||On the second level, there is a restaurant that features pizzas for lunch and dinner among other items and. breakfast. Hotel guests receive 10% off on select pizzas. The restaurant was ultra clean, the wait staff courteous and efficient, and the pizza delicious and generous sized. I ate there twice during my stay! The restaurant has an interesting covered patio/balcony with plastic curtains and heat lamps for winter (not sure if it was air conditioned like the rest of the restaurant during summer, but maybe). Best of all, the restaurant was ultra convenient for when I was hungry and didn't have the time to walk out.||When I did walk out, I found the hotel exceptionally well located. Some highlights of very nearby places included:||- Mayashita Park that straddles an elevate train tracks and features greenery, rock-climbing wall (not open when I visited), beach volleyball court (also closed during my visit), great seating areas, and lovely vistas.||- Ichiran Shibuya: Over 4,000 reviews currently on Google, a 40 minute wait when I visited, but worth it. Other diners need to take the subway and/or taxi to get to the restaurant. Guests at All Day Place can easily stroll there.||- Saving my favorite for last, the Tokyo Store Food Station Shibuya is a mere 140 meters from the hotel. Inside you will find beautifully prepared shrink-wrapped meals, fresh breads, mochis, beverages, some produce--all in a clean, quiet, and very well priced air conditioned showroom.||Highly recommend All Day...
