Update 1: Just so I understand this correctly, the shop owner was fine accusing my wife of stinking of perfume? Regardless of what they intended, and understanding of translation difficulties, when someone says the word 'perfume' most women would assume it was directed at them, as my wife did and she left your shop upset and in tears. I'm not the type to make a scene in front of a crowd, so I did the only thing I could do and left this review. THEN the story changed to not a perfume smell, but myself, the husband, being in un-hygienic. Right, that makes sense, I guess?
I was prepared to edit my review and give this store 5 stars if we had gotten a simple apology for the mistaken case of perfume. But instead, I'm reading a fabricated story about people getting nauseated with my smell which is entirely untrue.
In my 53 years of my life I have never once been accused of having a smell that anyone ever noticed or gives people headaches. Never once with friends, ex-friends, enemies, coworkers in small office meetings, bars, public spaces, etc. In over two weeks in Japan, eating in fine restaurants, daily (& twice daily sometimes) onsen bath visits, taking small elevators and riding crowded subways, there was never any indication of problems with my hygiene until our final day in Japan in your shop. I am insulted to read this and what a way to sour an otherwise amazing trip to your country.
On our first visit to your shop, there was one group of ladies who were already seated when we ordered and sat down. They seemed to finish their coffee and snacks and left in what looked like good spirits. The staff behind the counter looked happy. There was no indication at all that anyone was upset about anything.
On our second visit, there were no other customers in the store while we ate and again no indication from the staff that anything was amiss.
On the third visit, there was already a very strong perfume smell when we entered the shop. The clerk mentioned strong perfume and gestured toward my wife. It was pretty clear what she meant.
Something smells off here and it wasn't us. But it's my word against the shop owner and a whole bunch of 5 star reviews. If you've taken the time to you're read this drama, and your considering eating here, take from this warning what you will.

Original review: I hate to do this, as it might make me seem entitled, and I am certainly not. I almost never leave negative reviews on Google, as I prefer to look at the positive side of everything. My mother taught me that if I have nothing nice to say, don't say it at all. But, here we go anyway ...
We ate at miki's two times during our visit to Tokyo, and enjoyed it. However on our last day, wanting to enjoy their breakfast one last time (my wife liked their acai bowl) we had surprisingly rude service by the staff.
One of the staff mistakenly accused my wife of wearing a strong perfume, which I assume bothered their nose. So they asked if we could sit at the small table outside ... on a cold, rainy day. That wasn't happening. My wife does not wear any perfume of any kind, nor does she own any at all, as she is very sensitive to strong smells.
The only thing we can think of it was one of the girls standing behind us wearing the strong perfume, but because the girls were Japanese and we are foreigners, I suspect (without proof of course) the girls got preferential treatment. Despite my protestations that my wife was not wearing perfume, they still refused to serve us unless we sat outside.
So instead of making a scene, we left. Bad form, miki's if you treat...
Read moreI came to have an Acai bowl during Sunday afternoon. After ordering, I was informed I either have to order a drink, pay ¥500 or do takeout, basically a rip-off for extra money even though they didn't have any drink on the menu I wanted (everything that was not tea or coffee was a sugar-drink). I got a takeout. The Acai bowl was pretty small with very little portion of ... everything. Then, when I sit on an empty bench on the street in front of the store to eat the bowl, the staff harassed me I cannot eat it there, saying the place in front of the store still counts as inside the store. Very bad experience, would recommend other cafes in the area (like E'Clat 5 mins walk away) that are...
Read moreWent there by seeing the reviews, breakfast combo was very basic for the price. If you are a tourist then the hotel will provide better breakfast at than this. As for Acai bowl, I can tell you that I have had multiple Acai bowl at different places in different countries and this was the worst. It was topped with frozen fruit bites and not sure why they expected me to eat the frozen fruit. Coffee was mediocre. You can easily visit different cafe in the area.Tried different place and it was far greater than here. If the goal is aesthetic pleasing place and for photos then this is good else any other cafe will serve better...
