I ordered the (large) spicy yakiniku ramen and it was quite good! We ordered the karage serving and that too was very delicious, but I could tell it's not freshly made as it was barely above room temperature. Maybe we just got unlucky there. The staff are nice and speak good english.
Now for my complaints: First, this place is insanely expensive (1900 or so for yakiniku ramen, +100 yen for large serving. 800 yen for 5 karage pieces) and I find it difficult to justify the price. This is my biggest gripe by far. I have never paid this much for ramen in japan, not even at ramen places with spots in the michelin guide where you have to book hours in advance for a seat. The portion is on the small side if I am to be honest, especially the amount of meat. Is it worth it? I'm struggling to answer this.
Secondly, to my knowledge, extra noodle servings are usually served separately so that you can add them to your bowl when you finish the normal noodle portion. However they just added everything together, which meant by the time i got to the end of the bowl, my noodles were getting soggy. It's not a big point, but if I'm paying 2k for a ramen, I expect these small details to be thought of
Lastly, I did have to add some soy sauce to the broth as I felt it lacked salt. I do have a high salt tolerance though so maybe...
Read moreWhat a Wonderful place with Yummy dishes. Visited on 31st December 2024 for dinner around 6 pm . Waiting time was around 20 to 30 minutes though went with 5 of us . Special note to be given about the waitress who served all was so patiently and very active and always keep smiling with all customers and was a very pleasant atmosphere it was . Place is small but very pleasant. Probably same time around 15 to 20 people can sit at a go . We ordered Fried chicken Ramen and spicy fried chicken ramen. I added Yakiniku topping and it was amazing. I cannot forget about spicy boiled Gyoza was fantastic. When the time was around 7 pm to 7.15 pm we could notice the crowd is getting really longer . So better to go to the shop as early as possible to avoid crowd and long lines. Per person basically 2000 yen average it might cost . But it’s really worth it. Parking is not available from restaurant but there are few coin parking slots around and most probably can get parking and can cost around 1500 yen per hour which is 300 yen per 12 minutes slots. Food was served within 10 to 15 minutes of sitting on the table. Its Halal certified Ramen shop and worth the wait and the money. Highly recommended and special shoutout to the chefs and waitresses who served on 31st December 2024 for dinner. Very...
Read moreWe visited Honolu Halal Ramen to try their signature dishes, and we left completely satisfied. We ordered the Rich Chicken Ramen, and the Spicy Ramen, allowing us to get the best of both worlds.
The Rich Chicken Ramen was a true delight. The broth was incredibly creamy and deeply flavorful, with a richness that felt both comforting and decadent. It was clear that the chicken had been simmered for hours, creating a perfect umami-packed base that coated the perfectly firm noodles. The simple toppings of tender chicken slices and green onions were all it needed to shine, making it a perfect choice for those who appreciate a classic, well-executed ramen.
The Spicy Ramen was a fiery contrast, and it was a spectacle to behold. The spice level was just right—it delivered a strong, pleasant heat that didn’t overwhelm the savory chicken broth. Instead, the chili and spices added another layer of complexity, making each spoonful exciting. The broth was equally rich as mine, but with a vibrant kick that woke up the taste buds. It’s definitely a great option for anyone who loves a bit of heat with their comfort food.
We found Honolu to be a fantastic spot for a delicious and heartwarming meal, and it’s a place we'd highly recommend for couples looking for a satisfying...
