Very bad seating service. The person at the front said we could not sit on the chairs thinking we were not customers waiting in line. I heard she said “Dekinai!”. I don’t know what she said in Japanese, but all I heard was about something “Not allowed”. She then placed a signboard on the menu to indicate that it’s full and spoke to one of the staffs. After that, the staff came out and skipped us, and asked the customers behind us how many seats they needed. I saw that the staff wrote 2pax for the customers behind, so clearly our group of 4 was skipped. I was starting to be annoyed so I asked and the staff finally wrote 4 in the list. I knew because I saw that there were tables that could fit 4. I then realized why we were skipped in the first place, she thought we just wanted a seat outside a restaurant.
I was told that Odaiba is known to be more tourist friendly, and if the main person is not able to speak English, then perhaps it could be a good idea to place one of the other staffs who could at the front. This sets a bad impression on this place if it’s a franchise.
If you have another dining option, the food isn’t that great enough to be insulted. Dine...
Read moreI'm actually genuinely surprised at the low score and mediocre reviews. First of all, they were the only place in the entire mall to accept me for dinner past 9pm (the mall and most stalls close at 10pm). I got rejected from a couple of places but they gamely seated me so 5 stars just for that. It was late and i was desperate for just any bite so i really wasnt too fussed about the quality but tell you what, i was pleasantly surprised at the quality of my meal! I ordered a soupy udon and what I got was a full-on set - a tasty, piping hot, brothy udon with generous ingredients like mushrooms and eggs, and a bowl of rice with tuna sashimi and salad on the side. It was actually an incredibly generous serving and a really solid meal. The udon was chewy and the broth was deliciously umami. Was seriously impressed. On top of that the meal was very affordable and the service was really good as well, i remember having a very friendly Nepalese waiter. Only complaint would be that they took awhile to serve the food to me so I had only 20 min to gobble it all down as they were closing!...
Read moreWe came in with a group of 4. They are very short staffed, so a bit of a wait is expected, especially since we came in during lunch time.
Food wise, it is better than I expected. We ordered the Creamy Curry set, grilled salmon teishoku set and the salmon mixed bowl.
The curry was quite good, could've been thicker, but it was very good nonetheless.
The two fish sets were also quite delicious.
Rice and miso soup is refillable for free, but obviously we are expected to take what we are capable of consuming.
I did read some reviews about English speaking staff and whatnot, but we were served in a relatively timely manner, and the staff were very polite.
Aside from the wait and the short staffedness, I'd say this a good place to visit. If you're on a tight schedule, then this won't be a...
