Obon de Gohan — Restaurant in Tokyo

It is great place to taste Japanese cuisine. First off, a store clerk would ask you about what kind of foods you are allergic to.

I suppose that was well intended but people with malice would say that is a invasion of privacy, and it doesn't matter to you anyway.

I always asked for inexpensive meals since I was really cash strapped. However, they took my orders pleasantly at least on the surface. That means their hospitality levels are relatively high at least.I thought that way. Maybe I might be too shabby for that sophisticated area? or they thought of me as being pathetic person? I might wonder about that.

I remembered eating those meals on a seat. I saw a bakery clerk discounting breads 30 percent off the regular price in the darkened dinner time.

I was a laughing stock of the workplace nearby supermarket then. I felt alienated but lantern and atmosphere it exudes was really relaxing to wear and tear of a middle aged man.

At that time, I can choose rice among three variety of organic rice, Kinua, white rice, blended brown rice. All taste great and I like...

Guessing about 60 seats in an interesting family-style restaurant. Mix of tables, booths, and counters. Another unusual example is a low-tech drink bar, with just a little glass cooler for about six pitchers with various drinks. Music was a version of a famous song by a non-famous band. No Wi-Fi, even though it's kind of a high-tech system with electronic buzzers for the waitresses and various QR codes. The counter seats also have sockets for charging, which also surprised me. Service seemed a little slow, but perhaps busy for the end of the year. Broad menu emphasizes they're open all year round. Currently has quite a nice view, but there's a big construction site that looks like it's going to block it. Hopefully it will be a pretty building... Location is a prominent corner.

Very tasty matcha ice cream and the coffee was good, too. Since it was a drink bar I also had some grapefruit juice. Perhaps mostly since it's been so long since...

気が利かない…

職場の友人と夕食に利用しました。 石神井公園駅からすぐのemioの地上階。 ランチ時にはしばしばそとで待つ方も見かけていました。

木曜18:30の入店では、店内はかなり空いていました。もちろん待ちは無し。 が、店員さんはこちらに気がつくと「お名前をかいてお待ちくださーい」と。 え、店内めっちゃ空いてて、私達の前に待ってる人もいないのに、名前書く必要ある？ 最初に手が空いた店員さんが案内する時に口頭で聞けばいい話じゃないの？と。 とりあえず、名前と人数を書きましたがその10秒後に店員さんがこちらに来て、「済」というスタンプを押して案内されました。 なんか、ランチ時の混んでる時の流れをそのままマニュアル的にやってる様な…

窓際の席に案内してくれました。席は広々。 メニューを開くとかなり豊富、そしてヘルシーそう！ 私は雑穀サラダのプレート、友人は豆腐のハンバーグのプレートを注文。しばし待ちます。

お料理が運ばれて来るまでは10分強でしょうか…友人の物が先にきましたが、そこから私の料理が来るまでの差がなかなかありましたね。 もう少しテーブル内では統一して欲しい。

味は…うん、美味しい！サラダプレートとなると味気ない、物足りないイメージですが、ドレッシングが効いているのもあり満足感がありました。パン、クラムチャウダーも中々。

友人とおしゃべりしながらお料理を楽しむ。 お料理を完食して注文してたデザートをお願いします。 で、この時にお料理のプレート、空になってたんですが下げてくれない。 友人も「え、下げて欲しい…」ともらしてました。 で、デザートがきて全てを完食。 ここで気付いたのですが… お冷やが序盤で無くなってるのに、デザートを食べ終わってすこしたっても、お冷やを一度も追加してくれないんですね。 もちろん、ドリンクバーでもないし、沢山飲みたいなら沢山注文すればいいのですが…

店内が空いていて近くを何度も通っているのに1度もお冷やを注いでくれないとは… 結局、喉の渇きが限界になりボタンで店員さんを呼ぶ。すると、来た店員さんはこちらが何か言う前に「あ、お冷やですね！」と。

いや、分かってるなら一回位来てくれ。 この時に来てくれた店員さんはわりと慣れている感じでしたが、他の店員さんはなんかたどたどしさが目立ちました。

うーーーん。 なんか、ここのお店はヘルシーなメニューで明らかに女性ウケを狙っている感じなのに、それでこのサービスは…お値段も安いという訳でもないし。手が回らない、気が利かないないならばある程度はセルフサービスにして客に任すという手もあるのではないでしょうか。

他にも食べてみたいメニューがあるので、また来たいですが、それならおぼんdeごはんの他店舗に行こう...
