SHIOMI SKIPPERS' — Restaurant in Tokyo

Been twice recently. First time was great but noted that it was a little expensive for a small serving. But the chips are amazing although again, small portions. Second time we went we ordered a large burger each vs a small serving of 5 sliders before. Thought the big ones would be enough but they are a little small. The 5 sliders seem better value but again they are really small. So the second time we got our chips well after we finished eating our burgers. They apologised but that was it. The burgers were a little undercooked. They were ok but a little under so I didn’t complain. Not sure I would go back again except for the chips. They need to adjust prices or serving sizes. If you are desperate then go but if not...

I recommend this place. The exterior is not inviting but walk past that to the back side of the building to find this place.

The food has been delicious over 2 visits. I could try burgers, sliders, coffee, ice coffee, homemade ginger ale, salad, French fries, and onion rings and can recommend all of these.

In particular, onion rings were very good.

They have a variety of burger and slider (mini burgers) options but all tried have been good.

The atmosphere of the place is okay but much better when it's sunny out. There are a wide range of customers including families with children.

Hidden away under a walkway of an apartment building, Skippers reimagines pub fare as can only be done in Japan. You can watch trains go by over a bridge while listening to American power pop. The Skippers burger with the egg is superbe. All the burgers are served medium, but I imagine you could ask it done otherwise if you wanted to bother (not very Japanese to do so). The potatoes are symmetrical hash brown patties, probably frozen, but that’s all right with me.
