Good food, but I believe this may not be the right omakase for non-Japanese speakers, and I’ll explain why.

The price was quite reasonable and the food was good not unforgettable, but still enjoyable. I tried about 10 dishes from the sushi and sashimi menu. Overall, they were decent, but nothing really stood out — it felt more like a regular sushi place than something special.

I found this place in the Michelin Guide and was very excited to try it. What I love about omakase is not only the food but the overall experience being close to the chef, watching each dish being prepared, and learning about what you’re eating.

Last night, as soon as we walked in, we got a not-so-welcoming vibe, and unfortunately, that feeling lasted the entire hour we were there. Each dish was served to us without a single word, so we had no idea what we were eating. The chef ignored us completely and spent the whole time talking in Japanese to other customers.

The odd thing is that he clearly understood some English, because on a few occasions when we asked something through the English-speaking server, he understood and assisted her. That made it clear that the lack of interaction wasn’t about language, but rather a choice.

Overall, while the food itself was good, I wouldn’t recommend this omakase to non-Japanese speakers who are looking for a more engaging and...

I really wish I didn’t come here during my first day in Japan because it set the standard so high. I was left speechless after this meal!

This place is on the Michelin Guide and it was so difficult to get a reservation. I used JPNEAZY and we were emailing back and forth for almost a week until I finally secured a 9:30 PM time slot, and I’m so glad I did.

This place is small and only sits 7 people. It is a one man stand who does everything. I got to sit right in front of the chef, who doesn’t speak much English, but did his best to explain the dishes.

For omakase, we had a few appetizers followed by 7 pieces of nigiri. Everything was amazing. My favorite was the uni! I have had uni many times but it has never tasted as good as this.

I am so glad I found this place that is so intimate...

Delicious omasake for ¥3000 a great value for quality and experience. We ordered several glasses of sake on top of that. Credit card accepted.

Easily the best sushi I’ve ever had with uni and mackerel as the highlights.

Reservation required and by phone only, the hotel concierge called on our behalf. Pretty much no English once there which is fine and we manages ok. They seemed surprised when we walked in until we showed the paper confirmation from the hotel.

8 seats around the sushi bar. Minimalist style and decor and very quiet, no music was playing during our stay just our chatter from our fellow patrons. Kept the focus fully...
