Sushi Sakaba Sushiyanoshuyoshi (Kyu Ajiyoshi Cafe) — Restaurant in Tokyo

Not super cheap, but well satisfactory lunch menu they offer. This place is in fact running as “Sushi restaurant café” seemingly as a by-business of sushi catering. The staff are friendly.

Interestingly, there’re similar but still different cuisines, kaisen (sashimi) bowls and chirashi sushi are both on their menu in a shop. I certainly chose their Today’s Special, Chirashi-zushi Set, 1,080 yen. The main difference is that in chirashi, the rice under seafood is slightly vinegar marinated as sushi rice and sashimi cuts’ subtlety layout for the sushi taste.

Since I’m a donburi (or don, a bowl) eater and even more a sushi eater, I enjoyed my chirashi order (despite it’s not exactly a good old authentic chirashi setout I used to have) wasn’t wrong at all. The coffee (200 yen optional) was...

I stumbled upon this restaurant last night with my family and we decided to go in and order one of their sushi platters for 5 people!! The sushi was delicious and the staff were amazing!! They had one english speaking staff too and he was so polite and had a wonderful conversation with us. We ordered some more dishes after the platter including the salmon rice ball, fried pufferfish, fried chicken, fries, and miso soup, and they were all delicious!! We came here one evening looking for a place to have a drink. We experienced extremely earnest and helpful staff who we had a lot of fun chatting with as well as a very reasonable drink selection for a very reasonable price. We noticed a funny advertisement for a sashimi plate and decided we would come back when we had an appetite. Well, a couple days later, we had the chance to also grab a bite here.
