Yakiton Makotoya — Restaurant in Tokyo

The yakiton, as well as other dishes, are delicious and inexpensive. Although it hasn't been open very long, the restaurant is already quite popular and is crowded mainly with locals and people on their way home from work in the neighborhood. The harami and hatsu were especially delicious, so I would like to go back to eat there again... ---I would like to eat there again... I have visited this restaurant many times over the past year or so since my first visit above. It is a pleasure to take friends and acquaintances there, and it is also enjoyable to go there by myself and savor the food. There are different flavors of Yakiton such as salt, miso, and sauce, but if you ask for "omakase," they will do it according to each part of the dish. Personally, I recommend the "Miso Harami" as it is the most delicious. The snacks other than yakiton are also delicious, and we often order the standard dishes such as Potemaca Mentaiko Salad and Yodare Chicken. The non-standard menu items are constantly being changed, so I look forward to trying something different each...

We visited here based on online reviews. We do not speak Japanese so we’re very nervous, but the server was incredibly kind and friendly, and we were able to communicate using Google Translate and photos.

The food was delicious and service was very quick. They have a wide variety of options; our favorites were the roe potato salad and tuna with green pepper. The prices are very reasonable (note: cash only).

Had dinner there with my elderly parents and 2 kids. They squeezed 5 of us at a table of 4. They only accept cash. They insisted each person must order 1 drink each and cannot share. Menu only in Japanese but the waiter was able to understand basic english enough for me to order a few dishes. Quality of food is good. They allow smoking indoors, so it was unfortunate the table next to us...
