So sad that we only found out about Sushi Take on our last day in Japan on accident, but I’m so glad we did! It’s a family restaurant that gives you a wonderful vibe straight from the moment that you walking into the door.

As soon as you sit down, you’re greeted by Take-san’s son who is very friendly and speaks English fluently, so you don’t feel like you’re going to miss anything during the omakase experience.

In our experience, some places are not very friendly to tourists due to one factor or another, but we’d definitely recommend this place to especially tourists traveling to Japan as Sushi Take accommodates everyone, and even goes above and beyond to give a really good service and an amazing experience! We didn’t even realize until later that they didn’t charge us for the extra fish we got. Arigatou!🥲

Then, only we were carefully explained about the dishes we’re about to be served, but more in detail about Take-san’s quest in finding the best ingredients for the restaurant. It was truly an incredible time for the mouth, mind, and belly!

We loved our time at Sushi Take and are sad to go, but it was definitely the perfect last meal in Japan. Until...

First ever omakase experience during my first ever trip to Japan so I was hoping it would be amazing. And it was just perfect! Initially, there was a little bit of anxiousness due to the unfamiliar experience and the potential language barrier. But upon entering we were greeted by Kentaro who spoke English as fluently as any American so that put me at ease right away. He waited on us throughout our dinner and shared interesting tidbits of info about the various dishes we were eating and even the history of Sushi Také. Kentaro was also quite knowledgeable about whiskey and helped me appreciate the two stellar glasses I had even more (Hakushu - 12Y & Nikka - Single Malt). The sushi chef who prepared and served our dishes was also very polite and gave brief descriptions of every item we ate. He also happened to be a former customer turned apprentice because he was so touched when he ate at Sushi Také. To commemorate this unforgettable dinner I even bought one of Kentaro's handmade whiskey glasses. Now I can relive this fantastic memory every time I enjoy whiskey with the handmade glass. The very same glass you will be drinking your...

My friend and I were looking for an authentic Omakase experience in the neighborhood of Shibuya since that area was a prime meetup spot for our group. I found this place using google maps, and it had stellar reviews…it’s safe to say, I am so glad we were able to get a reservation to this place. It was my friend’s very first Omakase experience and our first time to Japan. We did the two hour dining option, which consisted from everything to firefly squid, to uni to otoro. EVERYTHING was good! They were also able to accompany my egg allergy as well, which is a huge plus. What made this place stand out from other places I’ve been to was the fact that the staff were very engaging. Ken and his dad (who’s the owner) were very welcoming and engaging, and explained each dish to us. My friend and I learned about the history of their restaurant and how they prepare each dish. We were so very impressed with everything, I can’t wait to come back here next...
