Waited from 11:10am to 11:30am (their stated opening time) with a party of two. It was a hot day, so one of us went to grab a drink. I was told I couldn’t enter until my friend arrived. To enter the restaurant, you have to walk down a short flight of stairs, but I was repeatedly asked to wait at the top. Meanwhile, local patrons were allowed to walk straight in without waiting for any staff instructions. I followed what I was told, but others clearly didn’t have to—it felt like double standards.
When my friend returned, she was told the same thing—just 30 seconds before another couple walked in freely, again without any instruction. The waitress repeated the same message to us , but we were just behind the couple. It was confusing and frustrating, especially since the restaurant wasn’t full. We decided to leave.. The lady ‘welcoming’ us wasn’t friendly, don’t expect a smile from her but the table staff inside were very attentive and nice.
