Small, cramped, but cozy shop. Got the ecc muffin and the caramel tart to go. Unfortunately, the muffin didn't come piping hot, and the bun seemed a tad dry. The patty had a nice meaty texture, and the "egg" had a nice eggy texture, too. However, personally, I found it lacked any sort of real flavor, the patty was well seasoned with salt, but adding some herbs and spices would have given it a better flavor profile. The "egg" as well, didn't really taste much of anything, and as l was eating this, I was so wanting some black salt to sprinkle on top of it for more "egginess". The tart was nice, not too sweet, but again, I felt like it didn't check all the boxes for me, maybe it needs a crispier crust, nuts with more crunch, or some salt or spices to take it to...

The Nuts Exchange was my first port of call when I eventually woke up after a late-night flight to Tokyo, and served as the ideal setting for me to get my bearings in the tranquil orbit of some dietarily likeminded solo patrons.

The cheesevurger was pretty perfect, but I’d have loved for the patty to have been slightly bigger. It reminded me of finger food at a birthday party buffet, but in the best possible way. I could and should have ordered a second, and in this vegan buffet fantasy of mine I see myself slyly snaffling at least a third. Greedy, I know.

The café’s take on the matcha latte is exquisite, and the Bodum double wall insulated glassware the drinks are served in just sums up the stylish attention to detail that makes this...

I was walking around the area and looking for something light to snack on before I went explaining a little bit more.

I noticed a sign for this place that said everything was vegan so I popped in and decided to see what they had to offer as I was looking for something savory.

I ended up trying the cheeseburger and the matcha latte. The burger was really delicious and flavorful. I could have eaten three or four of them.

I really enjoyed the matcha latte as well as it was creamy and light with a hint of sweetness.

I highly recommend this place if you are a vegetarian or vegan and want something that's a little more fast casual.

We ordered a few things, tasted and blew our mind. ECC muffin - 10/10 really nice, otherworldly taste, even better than alot of burger out there (including non-vegan) Teriyaki muffin - 9/10 same as above Caramel nut tart - 8.5/10 this taste is nothing out of ordinary, but at the same time every aspect of the taste and texture is very well done. Kinda regret we didn't eat here sooner and more, missed the chance to get those "deli" dishes (ala-carte), it looks very appealing. However, we do try 2 types of seasoned nuts and quite disappointed, its either other seasoned or under seasoned. The roasted nut itself is pretty fresh and crispy though. (Sorry couldn't recall what name was it)

As a vegan with a food background, I’ve been keen to explore and see more things done with various nuts (milks and butters)…hallelujah to The Nuts Exchange for embracing this and giving us what is quite possibly THE most decadent cappuccino on the planet (macadamia nut milk). The egg muffin was insane (unreal yet so realistic). I opted for the mille crepes as opposed to the cheesecake and I wasn’t disappointed. All in all this is my best meal in Tokyo as a vegan so far (tied with Izakaya Masaka for their exceptional karage). There might be limited vegan options in Japan but my goodness, when they take a conscious stab at it…they nail it. Go eat here!
