Matsuya Yoyogihachiman — Restaurant in Tokyo

For some people who come to eat at this restaurant for the first time, they may not really understand how to order food. Including me, this is my first time eating at this restaurant. When they want to order food, guests must order using an automatic ordering machine with a touch screen. After that coupons will come out which must be handed over to the staff. There are 2 coupons i got from the machine. After that I gave the 2 coupons to the staff. Then wait for the call and take the food yourself from the counter when it's ready to be served. Incidentally I came with friends. When my friend gave his coupon to the staff, my friend came back and brought 1 of my coupons which I handed over to the staff. It turned out that I received 2 coupons, 1 coupon to give to the staff and 1 coupon for myself to hold. The coupon that I hold will later be used to exchange for food that is ready to be picked up at the counter. Apparently that's the system in this restaurant. I really don't know. Matsuya is a wonderful chain restaurant known (from my understanding) mostly for it's gyudon. That said the menu is more extensive and offers lots of delicious options. I am a pescatarian currently so can't partake in all of the fare on offer. Most often I will get a teishoku set with a grilled piece of salmon, a bowl of miso soup, a bowl of rice and some pickles. I'll alternate between natto or soft tofu as side options. This set also comes with a packet of nori strips (I believe to be eaten with the rice). The restaurant is always clean. The staff are polite and the service is efficient! Additionally I feel compelled to mention the music playlist.
