THE SPA Nishiarai — Restaurant in Tokyo

Nice onsen conveniently located near Nishiarai Station. The water is, I believe, sodium based (as opposed to sulphate, etc.). The men's and women's sides are quite different, and I wish that they alternated the sides more frequently then they currently do. As it is now, they change only on every fifth day. On the women's side, there's a salt bath (but you have to bring your own salt, unfortunately), three tsuboburo, steam room and a kind of "silk" bath, which is nice. On the men's side, there are the jet baths and flat rocks. Sauna, rotenburo and regular indoor bath on both sides. There are several massage services and a large relaxation area upstairs (but there's always someone who's snoring). If you go in the afternoon, the gym on the fifth floor may be running some aerobics class, the music for which makes enough noise to diminish the peace and quiet you'd expect to get in the rotenburo. It's not too bad, though. But if you go late in the evening, say at 9 p.m., it's dead quiet and really nice. Great on a Friday evening after a long week. There is a restaurant in the spa, but in my opinion it's just OK. It costs money to park your bike; but get a receipt from the machine when you park your bike and give that receipt to the person at the counter in the spa (when you leave). There are various baths to choose from, and considering it was a holiday when we went there, the place wasn't as crowded as we expected. 東武伊勢崎線 西新井駅から徒歩約５分。３階に受付があり、(平日)一般利用で1038円、会員で936円(年会費200円 ポイントの失効は最終来館日より1年間)と私の感覚では少しお高いと感じる入湯料金ですが、204円でフェイスタオル&バスタオル(各1枚)レンタルできるので最低限の着替えがあれば気軽に利用できます。更に軽食処が併設されているので(今回は未利用)、お腹が空いた際も不自由しないと思います。 館内の撮影は許可が必要(だと思う 他者様も写り込むの)で、ロッカールームより先はスマホ禁止(ゲーム、アプリなどを含む)エリアとなっているので画像はありませんが、ロッカーは硬貨不要のタイプで浴場エリアには、湯船、ジェットバス(5種類 訪店時、男湯の一据え【浴槽の単位】は調整中)、露天風呂、寝転び湯(？)、サウナ(サウナストーン未使用)、水風呂がありました。(男湯と女湯は場所の入れ替わり有り) 身体を洗うスペースも座るタイプだけで約20席とシャワータイプ2席もあって、余程のことがなければ混雑する感じはありませんでした。(訪店時刻 土曜日午前11時半過ぎ)また、ボディソープ(青リンゴのような香り)、シャンプー(柚のような香り)、コンディショナー(何の香りか表現できずw)も備え付けてあり、拘りがなければ、それらを持参する必要もありません。 個人的に「THE SPA...
