You could easily walk past this shop and not know it was there: from the outside it's nothing more than a door in a wall on a side street. But it's definitely worth walking in - you'll be able to eat decent sushi at a very, very reasonable price. It's absolutely no-frills shokudo/canteen style, but the food is cheap and excellent. The menu extends beyond sushi, with tempura and other options. Especially recommended is the 1,000 yen nigirizushi lunch set. Owned by Tokiwa, which also has two popular shokudo style canteens nearby. Closed Wednesdays. Japanese only spoken and menus all written in Japanese. Highly recommended.
