Tonkaratei — Restaurant in Tokyo

The local reviews are very savage. But as a foreigner, I appreciated the fact that you could easily order food at your own pace via a tablet at the bar countertop seat. There is an option to toggle to English language. Simple and fuss free.

Food took a while to arrive - which is nice to know they did not simply serve us pre-fried food. The only disappointment was we ordered an additional side of "irresistible pork karaage" but that was just pure pork fats and rind coated in a salty batter, and deep fried. 気になっていた葛西のとんから亭を訪問しました。 23時前の閉店間際でしたが、思いの外お客さんがいませんね…何故でしょう。

ですが気になる表記を発見します。カレーかけ放題という文字！

どうやら定食、丼、そばを頼むとカレーがかけ放題の様です。 これは是非試してみたいです。 更にたくあんも食べ放題です。

メニューはヒレカツ丼に決定。 ヒレカツ2枚が丼になっている様です。いざ注文。。。

注文から5分強で到着です。 提供は早い方でしょうか。

さて、肝心のお味ですが、さすがスカイラーク系列。 お肉はしっかり系で、悪い意味でなく少し獣香を感じます。甘めのお味とマッチして旨いですね。

4分の1程食べ、カレーを掛けます。

これまた合います。 カレーも甘い味付けですが、それがちょうど良くマッチします。 恥ずかしながら2回掛けに行ってしまいました…おかわり自由ですからね…笑
