Torisho — Restaurant in Tokyo

I wandered into the shop one afternoon after taking a stroll in the neighborhood. It was near my Airbnb and was enticed by the smells of friend chicken wafting into the streets.

I was overwhelmed by the variations of crispy chicken on offer and settled for their conviently labeled "#1 combo." The staff were incredibly patient and kind with my very limited japanese.

The proprietor was very sweet and made me feel at ease. I didn't feel judged at all for using my bad japanese to order. He spoke a little English as well which helped and was kind throughout all our interactions.

After waiting for about 5 minutes, I was given a lovely chicken nanban bento box with two different sauces to go. It came with some potato salad, pickled veggies, and a little spaghetti (quite common for bento boxes but I'm not sure why). It was equal parts affordable, delicious, and quick. I actually would end up going back every other day throughout my stay in Tokyo to try more of their food. Other highlights include their karage and their chicken wings.

It never disappointed and was a great option when I was going back to the Airbnb after a long day of exploring tokyo. I they were in my neighborhood in NYC.

Large juicy fried chicken pieces, Chicken is fried lightly but is still very crispy. Got one of each sauce on offer. Each of the sauces are amazing. Would definitely recommend it if you are in the mood for some good...

近くで仕事があり立ち寄りました。一番人気の「鶏笑弁当」を注文しました。 注文が入ってから揚げるので7〜8分程待ちました。 唐揚げの2種は柔らかくてジューシーでアツアツで美味しいです。ムネ肉もパサつき感はありません。 チキン南蛮は1枚入ってました。 タルタルソースも良いですね。 ご飯は大盛りサービスのようでしたが、普通盛りでお願いしました。 ただ唐揚げは味付けが薄めに感じ、いつも持ち歩いている藻塩をかけていただきした。（塩との相性はとても良いです） 食べ終わって気付いたのですが、 レジ袋の中に小さな容器が2つ入ってました。 唐揚げにかけるタレとチキン南蛮のタルタルソース（弁当内にもタルタルソースは入っていましたが、足りない時用としてこの別容器が用意されていたようです） 食後に気付いてちょっとショックでした。 これらをかけて食べてたら、もっと美...
