Truffle Bakery Sangenjaya — Restaurant in Tokyo

I had assumed the "Truffle" in the name was just for show but was surprised to see that their buns had truffle salt in them. I can't read Japanese so not sure what other baked items had truffle salt but the buns were limited to three per person.

I grabbed a chocolate and plain croissant plus 3 of the truffle buns since people seemed to be going nuts for them. They were surprisingly good. I was very pleased with everything I had. Would definitely want to go again and try other breads plus more of the truffle breads.

You can never have enough truffle in your life.

One thing that was very confusing was they had some line for folks with an app but it wasn't clear how the line worked. It just seemed like people would alternate between entering from the app line and the regular line. No one checked any app either which was confusing. the service, the atmosphere and the design of the restaurant were beautiful. reminded me a lot of the bakeries that we have in europe. on that day i was really craving a pain au raisin and when i saw this mushroom with cheese bread, i couldn't resist but to take it. however you know looks can be deceiving, the mushroom with cheese was okay but it doesn't justify its price. the pain au raisin was stale seems like it was made a while ago. the truffle bread? let's not talk about it it was disappointing, no taste of truffle whatsoever. in brief deceiving...
